Unfortunately I can't speak to the longevity or ease of use, although it appears it would be easy to use. I bought these in case of emergency since we live in an area where we could lose power if a hurricane came through. I've only briefly "tested" one of these. As delivered, they don't provide a great amount of light. The Clear Globe cylindrical attachment helps disburse the light a bit and provides a wind guard for outdoor use. It fits, both, the 100 & 115 hour liquid candles. As others have, I found that this issue could be remedied by pulling the wick out an extra millimeter, or so. Go easy, the wick can't be pushed back in - only cut, if too long.
Of course more light, undoubtedly, means considerably less burn time. Can't say how much burn time is diminished, but the "candle power" is increased.
