This was a great purchase for a sale price. Disappointed you have to hold the button the entire blending experience, it doesn't click on. It was a bit annoying to clean under the blade despite cleaning immediately after use. A bottle brush was handy but not perfect. Overall glad I didn't pay full price for this but it's a decent unit.

Outperforms Original Ninja Blender

I've been using the original stick blender for over 20 years, but somehow it got lost or thrown away. With my need to blend protein shakes again, I started looking for a replacement and found this.
Though I've only been using it for about 3 months, I'm using it every day and it works perfectly.
The detachable mixing stem is a nice touch that makes clean up very quick and easy, without creating a mess on the countertop.
As for power, I have an original Ninja blender and this thing does a lot better job on ice cubes and frozen fruit than the ninja does.
I haven't detected any unusual smells, as in burnt electricals or overheating issues either. Keep in mind however that I'm only blending smoothies, which take just a few seconds to do.
I really can't find a single fault to this mixer. It's absolutely perfect for what I bought it for.
I think when Margarita Season fires up, this is gonna be my go to machine.

I can't believe I have cooked this long without one of these things! It is simply the most convenient kitchen gadget I own and I love the utility of being able to mascerate or puree just about any type of food before, during or after cooking. Unlike a food processor, you can very specifically use this handheld blender to get just the right texture. It has become a huge timesaver and mess-saver for blending fruit jams and tomato sauces during canning season. And, the color and texture of the main body is beautiful, comfortable and ergonomic (I have carpal tunnel and have no problem operating this tool for extended periods).
