I bought a pair of Marley headphone over two years ago because they were the best sounding pair of over ear headphones that were under $100. After using them for just a couple of hours I had to take them off because they were killing my ears - physically. They were so damn tight they actually hurt. About a month or so later I got sooooo frustrated I grabbed the headphones in the middle and tried to bend them back to relieve some of the tension.

Holy Crap! It worked. Then it dawned on me. That was their intention all along....its just that someone in engineering forgot to tell marketing. They flexible metal strap that comprises the bulk of the headphone support is stout because they made these headphones to fit small heads if necessary and such that they would never fall off if you were bobbing your head up and down like a wannabe DJ. Mission accomplished. But the metal strap can carefully be bent back, slowly and firmly to permanently relief some of the tension for those of us with big heads.

Once I discovered this little hack for Marley headphones in general, I must say they are the second best pair of head phones I have ever owned. (My first pair of Marley's was the best but I lost them somehow and bought the exact same thing to replace them.)

I guess I should probably knock them down a star for making me have to self discover the tension adjustment....but they are such good headphones that I think they deserve the full 5 stars.

I bought these headphones to replace a pair of Skullcandy Hesh 2's. The Hesh 2's are nice headphones, they have pretty good bass, but the mids and highs are a bit muddy. It wasn't too bad though, until the cable just quit on me, thankfully, I had them for three years . I bought another cable of course, but I've finally decided I needed an upgrade. After a while of just looking around I found these. "House of Marley Liberate XL" Sure, the name is long, but I like it. Anyhow, I love how these headphones look. (I got them in Saddle) It's the combination of the brown earcups, the fabric, and the wood that got me.

The sound is nice, the mids and highs are way better then the Hesh 2's, and the low ends can be compared, they're nice and rich but still deep. I don't really care for nor have the experience with higher end ($120+) headphones so I can't really compare with those, but these sound nice.

Another pretty sweet thing is that the cable is detachable, so if the cable ever breaks, then you can easily replace it.

All in all, these are a pretty nice pair of headphones, thanks for taking the time to read my review, and have a nice day. :)

I bought these headphones to replace a pair of beats solo hd on ear headphones. Alot of people dislike beats beacause of their price however i have enjoyed mine and have had them for 3 years. I like how thw the liberate xls look (i got them in midnight) however for me if i wear them for long periods (more than 2 hours they hurt my ears, my solo hds dont do that but that is the only reason for a four star so far ( ive only had them for 2 days) the sound is great i perfer these over my beats for the high mid and low seperating and these have very little leakage of sound and provide plenty of bass the price is nice aswell i got mine for 100$ and thats roughly 150$ cheaper than my beats i also like how their earth friendly and have a metal headband rather than plastic. I would buy these again... p.s i am very sorry about my english and grammer.

Looks like good quality. I however returned them to buy the boise headphones with speaker as I am so hard of hearing. The boise cuts out the outside sound which it makes it easier for me to hear speech. If not for that issue- I would have kept the marlins.

Headphones were delivered promptly and well protected in box for shipping. These headphones were actually recommended to me by a salesperson from a competitor's store and he raved about the sound quality and quality overall. I agree... I've purchased many headphones previously and they end up useless after a few uses. These House of Marley headphones produce great quality sound, are comfortable on the ears and head and made of durable material. I'm very pleased with spending a little more money but not top dollar like some brands because I've really enjoyed listening to my music with them.

I bought this pair of headphones on the month of November 2016 and by the 16th of december 2016 the left ear gave out.I used to really like House of marley headphones but after this experience, i am definitely convinced that their products are just unreliable. Waste of my freaking money.Do Not Buy Them.

Originally I was disappointed when I first received them I thought I was buying wireless. However they are well manufactured, aesthetically pleasing and sound great. I was looking for good bass end. These well do.

Bought this pair of headphones for myself because I previously owned a pair of HoM Positive Vibration cans, and was blown away by the sound provided at such a low cost. However, comfort was lacking with the ear pads. So I decided to "upgrade", and what a disappointment.

The first pair I ordered I returned to Amazon within a day because the left can simply would not produce sound. The second pair I owned for three months before the cable decided it'd rather not stay in-place, inside the ear cup. The SLIGHTEST tug, turn, or pull disconnected it from the ear cup. I decided to wisen up and order a pair of Marshall Monitor headphones. Thinking the build quality alone will be superiors, plus the sound.
