About the Author
Fairly famous in certain circles Clayton has long been an avid fan of many many anime series and would like to think of himself as a dedicated researcher. Of course for that to happen first he has to sell at least one copy of this book or he's just a loser who spends his time watching anime.

Four people prior to me have whined, and cried, and moaned "This book didn't make me into an anime character!" If you would please read the book's description, it says, and I quote EXACTLY: "Everything you ever wanted to know about being (NOT BECOMING) an anime character..." Bakas aside, this book is really quite nice. >^.^< After just reading a few pages, I was both entertained, and looking to improve my game. It's funny in spots and has the rules of Anime nicely put in words even a blonde can understand.

Clayton, you can never escape us. You thought you could, but we are still here watching. We have been following you ever vigilant, and we are very disappointed.
We are are strong once again, reconstituting our ranks world wide. Your works span the internet and you leave a trail a mile wide that is littered with literary fodder. Every digital footprint you leave we are close behind and we are scoffing, laughing, and gleefully judging every key you log.
We are proud you have the courage to do what you have done. That being said, in no way do we think that the courage you have shown is justified by the talent that backs it up. You bring great shame to our proud brotherhood. You are a filth that cannot be washed away.
We are far from anonymous, and we will always be watching. You know who we are.
Love,
SD1

As a long time fan of anime, I figured I would give Mr. Overstreet's book a read. It starts off okay- a few general statements about the otaku culture, some sushi recipes, anime make-up tutorials. But around page 20 or so, things go sour. Overstreet's tone darkens, and the overall mood becomes depressing. I don't mean sad, I mean downright OVERBEARING. This book put me in a dark mood for a 9-month period, during which I was fired from my job, my waifu left me, and my dog, Ein, died because I was too lethargic to even feed him. I became very ill, refused to eat anything and sometimes laid on my couch for days on end. If it wasn't for the divine inspiration I received through experiencing Ronald D. Moore's re-imagining of Battlestar Galactica, I would probably be dead right now thanks to Clayton Overstreet. Sometimes when I try to go sleep at night... I close my eyes, and I see those dark red anime eyes that embellish the spine-chilling cover of this dreadful book which ruined my life.
PROS:
Good binding
Quality paper
Sufficient use of Comic Sans font
CONS:
Some diagrams hard to read
Does not fit on bookshelf
Oh dear god what have I done Theresa i'm so sorry

At first I thought this was a joke, but after taking a stab at reading this I had to go sanitize my hands after. What the heck did I read? Garbage, that is what. If I wanted to learn how to be an Anime character, logically, I would watch hours of Anime instead of spending $25 of a poorly written book telling me how to behave like those "Otaku" you see at Anime conventions. Thanks but no thanks.
Mr.Clayton should just stick with his fanfiction and maybe rethink on publishing books. And whoever bought this book....I pity you for wasting your money.

This book was so sugoi! I admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, because you know, everyone tells you anime isn't real. I bought the book from amazon and with my shinkokuna-ness (That's seriousness for all you non anime characters), I read through all 148 pages! By that time, I understood everything that was needed to become such a kawaii anime character.
Not only was I myself in anime form, but I could do so many things! I could flip, cook anything, make anything, nothing can hurt me and countless men have confessed that they are in love with me! It feels great! I even traveled to the kingdom hearts anime and got to hug my bishi husbando, Riku! He said that he wanted to marry me and be with me forever, but you know, I had to visit other anime worlds such as sengoku jidai with Inuyasha and Miroku. Obviously they were in love with me too, but I had to leave because Kagome and Sango were mad. Not sugoi.
Regardless, you can find a nice internet connection anywhere in the anime world, since that's what anime runs on. Internet. I know you'll disagree, but anime-san told me itself that internet is what it runs on.
Anyway, really great book, changed my life!

This book was a complete and total waste of money. I bought this book expecting to truly become an anime character, but I did not become an anime at all! Did my katana skills improve? No! Did I lose 150lbs and grow straight black hair? No! Save your money for Miracle Whip, because this is not worth it at all!
