The advice found here can be summarized in a few phrases: be yourself, be open-minded, try new things. Nothing wrong with these ideas, but there's not much depth, to put it mildly. If you want to be entertained, and maybe inspired for about 30 minutes, give the book a try. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Jessica Hagy is brilliant. She loves venn diagrams and graphs, and it is evident. Do not take this book as conclusive research however. Most of the images are essentially colloquialisms visualized .. but still great for visual/mathematically oriented people

Ok, the content, for the most part, was insightful, thoughtful, and made me giggle a little

That said, I thought that it would be a little deeper. By the end it read as a smattering of contradicting motivational mantras that a teenage girl would post on pinterest (stand up! be heard!...sit down! listen to all that is awesome in the world!). None of the "steps" were anything groundbreaking, but maybe my expectations were off.

Also, the kindle version is HIGHLY overpriced. I can see this being a cute coffee table book, but I a lot of the luster is lost in digital format, which is unacceptable when they cost pretty much the same thing.

Order the paperback; enjoy it as a lighthearted read and not as anything deeper.

A timely reminder of just how small and restricted our lives can become if we spend too much time focusing on the little picture and stop paying attention to what lies beyond ourselves, immediate families and friends.

The people who are most likely to really get what Hagy is saying are probably more interesting than they give themselves credit for or have temporarily slipped into the doldrums.

Those seeking an instant fix for their perceived deficiencies may not come close to getting Hagy's message.

I serendipitously found Jessica Hagy's publications on Forbes and was immediately captured.
I was struck by how much could be communicated by means of deceptively simple diagrams with few words.
Life made simple but by no means less interesting.
For certain a book to come back to time and again for inspiration.
This ebook should stand the wear and tear of time.

This book is amazing. I enjoyed the book so much that I read it cover to cover from the moment I opened it. I am always looking for ways to fine tune my interactions with people, and this book had a wealth of information. Its rare that I come across literature like this. I was thinking while reading; that I am going to implement one step a day and repeat for the rest of my life.

So if your lacking lifestyle, seek adventure, or just plain want to get in touch with your human side, this book is for you.

after just a few pages i was inspired and motivated. if this were an overly deep self-help book i wouldn't have made it past the first page, but thankfully it isn't. what it is, however, is a wonderfully quirky diagram to living a fun and fulfilling life. the content isn't crammed with long, boring anecdotes on how to be successful, but rather short and sweet tidbits that remind us to do the important things. the bold and often handwritten text is peppered with scribbled diagrams that made me giggle out loud and occasionally brought tears to my eyes. it's easy to get wrapped up in a daily humdrum routine, but this book reminded me that i prefer being interesting over boring and that it's a pretty easy thing to achieve. even though it was a quick read, i know i'll be coming back to "how to be interesting" again and again. and i will be buying many copies as gifts for people who need some cheerful advise on who they really want to be.

I bought the book on sale because it had a good title and a cool cover, but the contents struck me as not that helpful. I recommend you look inside or download a sample before buying. It might be someone's cup of tea. It wasn't mine.
