Editorial Reviews

Review

"In a day when Christianity is being deluged by Calvinistic literature, this is a refreshing and honest examination of these matters." -Mike Attwood

"Just a note to encourage you to read and consider brother Caleb's deep word study of election and chosen. The appendices that list the usages of the word in Old and New Testament (and the Septuagint) is worth the study alone." -Randy Amos

"It is my observation this is a long-overdue work on a polarizing discussion that avoids the mudslinging and incendiary atmosphere that can accompany such an undertaking. This is a must for the serious inquirer." -John Heller II

From the Author

I'm very excited to share the following endorsements:

Having carefully read this book, I believe that Caleb has made an important contribution to a more scriptural understanding of words like "chosen" and "elect". These words often stir up controversy in the mind of a child of God. By carefully examining how these words were initially used in their context, in the LXX translation of the Hebrew Old Testament, the Bible largely used by the Church of the New Testament, Caleb has given us a much more accurate, positive, and scriptural view of these words. This contrasts with the theological definitions largely influenced by Augustine, Calvin, and their modern-day disciples. In a day when Christianity is being deluged by Calvinistic literature, this is a refreshing and honest examination of these matters.
Mike Attwood

The refreshing approach taken on this topic presents a careful display of word usage in the Old and New testaments, with contextual concepts that aid in a straightforward exposition. Some of the tough questions which are commonly raised have been carefully expressed in a role-playing format to help the reader better identify the relativity of this subject on a personal level.
Caleb's approach on this matter is neither overly simple nor mind-numbingly hard. It is
my observation this is a long-overdue work on a polarizing discussion that avoids the mudslinging and incendiary atmosphere that can accompany such an undertaking.
This is a must for the serious inquirer.
John Heller

Dear fellow servants in the Lord,  Just a note to encourage you to read and consider brother Caleb's deep word study of election and chosen. The appendices that list the usages of the word in Old and New Testament (and the Septuagint) is worth the study alone.  It will require digging with your mind.  But a benefit would be to be able to present being God's elect in an encouraging, privileged and positive way to God's church (rejected and despised by this world) rather than as an argumentative proof point...
Randy Amos
