Simple, Easy, Step-By-Step Guide to the Mass

This is a step-by-step, moment-by-moment explanation of the Roman Catholic Mass written in a simple, easy-to-read style that truly anyone can wrap their minds around and understand. It includes lots of customs also, things I haven't seen elsewhere. There is an appendix of prayers that can be said before Mass, after Mass, and a study guide that can be used alone or in a group. There is also an appendix or recommended resources for learning more, including books, DVD's, CD's, and web sites.

The real strength of this particular book, and what differentiates it from others, is that it is really easy to read. You don't have to be familiar with the Bible or the Catechism, as references are generally included inline in the text. And everything is very clearly and simply presented.

I would recommend this for any Catholic, especially new Catholics, who want to understand the Mass better.

People who are "born Catholic" and just learned from family or other members should read this. It tells you WHAT you should do, WHEN you should do it and HOW to do it. It explains the reason things are done and where you can find the traditions in the Bible. I have "taught" people the reason for the traditions and some they missed after all their years of being Catholic.

I love this book, a must for all Catholics. A lot of rituals at Mass I know but couldn't remember the significance of, so the book is a welcome and useful addition to my library. It's on my Kindle so I can carry it to Adoration and reflect on. The prayers in the back are great for mediate on.

This is a great book for those coming into the Catholic Faith. RCIA leaders should have this on hand to refer to if a question comes up about the Mass. We recently had a few questions from one of our candidate's about certain things as to when, where, why and how the Mass progresses. There is so much they need to learn in their conversion other than the Mass itself, they appreciated having this book handy to peruse through at any time. Enjoyed reading it myself. You tend to forget at times the whys, where's and wherefores.

I have my Kindle, ESV Bible and How To Book Of Mass. What more could I want. They go wherever I go. Could not ask for more. I can add notes cross referance or what ever I need.
I consider these a complete guide to life, all at my finger tips.
The How to Book of Mass answers all of your questions and makes Mass an experience each time you go.
I have read many books on Mass and this is the easiest one to understand and remember. It is not so simple that I feel dumb, but rather inlightend.
Once you have read and made notes on your Kindle it is easy to go back and go over again.
These are not just books but tools to use in your daily worship.

I was raised in the post Vatican II era and missed out on a lot of training that I should have had. This led me out of the Catholic Church.

This book helped me to find out what I had been missing.

It gives a very clear and concise explanation of the parts of the Mass and how to participate in each part to get a more full understanding and a more fulfilling experience.

I would strongly reccommend this book to anyone whether they are a cradle, convert, or even a revert.

It might even help some none Catholics to see what they are missing.
