This was for a Family Consumer Studies class cross listed as Psychology- for development in infancy and childhood. I love the conversational style of the book, it is not dry and it is definitely not for rote memorizing. I like the summaries at the end of each chapter. Plenty of information. Chapters are rather long- I used this for an online class I was taking and it surprised me how much reading there was.

This book was a great teaching tool for my Developmental Psychology class. It is written in common English and is easily understood while still conveying the principles of development.

Description indicated it would be slightly worn, I took the chance with that for the lower price and was surprised that it looked new as far as I can tell! Shipped quickly as well.

I needed this book for a class. It was rather expensive considering this is the old edition, however, this seems to be a trend with textbooks. Some of the topics were very detailed and useful while others felt underdeveloped. I would recommend getting the new version of textbooks so that you can resell them. This ends up costing about the same and you get the newest version so you don't have to continuously translate page numbers between versions.
