Editorial Reviews

2013 release, the third album from the Country singer/songwriter best known for co-writing Trace Adkins' massive hit 'Honky Tonk Badonkadonk'. How Country Feels is the follow-up to Houser's 2010 album They Call Me Cadillac.

Randy Houser is one of my favourite artists. His 2010 album "They Call Me Cadillac" was my "Album of the Year" . This new album may attract new and younger folk, as it has more upbeat / modern songs, showing his vocal versatility, as "Running Outta Moonlight", " Growin' Younger" and "On Top Of The World". Within the 15 tracks it still includes amazing dramatic songs as "Power Of A Song" which tells of a man on the verge of leaving his wife and family, but changes his mind when he hears a song that reminds him of all the good things he will lose if he walks away from his marriage. "The Singer". This song could be about anyone who shares their life and love with a celebrity. She loves the singer, but does not want to share him with his adoring fans. Other songs that impressed me were "Along For The Ride" (Zac Brown had a hand in writing this track) and "Wherever Loves Goes" a duet with Kristy Lee Cook,(Their voices blend perfectly. This song could be a big hit). "Goodnight Kiss" is rather 'bluesy'. "Shine" adds a touch of traditional Country in the lyrics, so has the sensational "Route 3 Box 250 D", Randy is co-writer of this song, and from what I have read, it appears to tell of the hard times of his childhood, his father's drinking, his mother's crying. It is a moving story which brings a lump to the throat. . The single "How Country Feels" has hit the top spot in the Country Singles Charts, deservedly so. "Like A Cowboy". A song that likens his life on the road to a modern cowboy, never staying in one place too long, always looking forward to returning home to the woman he loves, but he cannot give up his chosen vocation, even for her.
This is another fine album from Randy Houser. It is both musically and vocally outstanding.

I really wanted to love this album. I think Randy Houser has a wonderful voice and really like a few songs on this CD. Is this a CD that I can listen to straight through without wanting to skip songs...no. Some of the best songs on the CD are towards the beginning...then there's a bit of a lag until "How Country Feels" comes up. I tried putting the CD on shuffle to see if that helped any, but it didn't. Tried listening to it in the car to see if it'd be a good "on the road" album, but no. Maybe there are just too many slower numbers for me. Don't get me wrong, this guy can sure sing. But, I can't really say that I love the CD as a whole.

I had already purchased a couple songs from hearing them on the radio, but when I heard Like a Cowboy I couldn't believe the voice. I hear small elements of Ronnie Dunn in his voice and thought who is this singing this song - he is amazing. I absolutely love every song on this CD. When songs move you it shows amazing writing but also a breath taking voice. I would recommend this CD and Mr. Houser 10 times over.

Love this album by a Mississippi native Mr. Randy Houser. It's by far my top favorite he has ever released. However it's very hard to find at stores so the easiest way to get a copy is right here. Houser has made 3 number one singles off the album "How Country Feels", "Runnin' Outta Moonlight", and "Goodnight Kiss". He has a current top 5 with "Like A Cowboy". The album shows what Houser is all about and lots of vocal range. You won't be disappointed when you buy this album. I will bet if you are a country fan you know at least four of the songs!

A newer singer wasn't sure if I would like him or not but his song POWER OF A SONG hits home for me and if you have been abused and ever tried to leave it will get to you as well and just went out and bought his cd Anything goes there is a song on it called "Back To God" a very very True song

I kept waiting to buy the CD hoping the price would go down, but I couldn't wait anymore. This is a great CD, lots of upbeat songs that I've added to my gym playlist. My personal favorites: Absolutely Nothing, How Country Feels, Runnin' Outta Moonlight and Growin' Younger. Can't wait for summer to roll around so I can put the windows down and cruise with this CD blaring from the speakers!

Randy Houser just gets better and better--although I must admit that my two favorites of all his songs, "I'll Sing," and "On and On," are on his first album. Overall, this album may be his best. I bought this cd for myself and one for a gift. He's the real deal, one who traditional country lovers and ones who like more contemporary singers like.

I am a fan of Randy Houser, loved his 1st CD but hated his 2nd one, listened to a few songs on this, decided to purchase it & haven't been disappointed - just as good or even better than his 1st CD - definitely worth purchasing.
