The patterns included in this book are basic and easy; the same as you find in other quickie pattern books. One pattern square did stand out, the Sweetest Baby Blanket Square by Tamara Kelly from Moogly.
I found several of the quilts to be poorly designed, color selection-wise, but it's the patterns that are important.
The instructions are written in the same format as in any crochet pattern. If that's too difficult for you to follow, list the instructions line by line for each round. These patterns can't get any simpler, they're basic. Start with the Rainbow Reduction Granny Square to get familiar with crochet abbreviations and making the squares. Once you've learned the abbreviations and how to crochet, there's isn't any pattern you can't handle, including clothing. Visit the website link for an abundance of help and patterns.
The patterns are mostly basic and widely available online, but it does contain two super cute patterns I will definitely be making. I would recommend this book more as a library borrow than a buy.
