Paul tells you what you need to know, what to be on the look out for, and provides excellent advice for handling yourself and managing your influence on the irrational people in your life during those triggering moments.
If you like Paul's books, you'll probably also like his podcast - The Overwhelmed Brain - where he talks though difficult personal topics like this on an ongoing basis.
I deal with a lot of irrational people--or at least rational people who are in irrational situations. I run a program for homeless people in the Bay Area, and not reacting properly to their irrationality can be dangerous. I have found that these people mostly have fears that they don't necessarily know how to talk about, and they just want to be validated. I spend a lot of time just listening. This book provides several techniques that I am sure that I will find useful in dealing with these people.
