The information in this book is not only applicable to starting artists, but also to anyone who is currently running any type of service-based business. Reading it was a wakeup call for me, reminding me the importance of setting money aside for savings, planning expenses and also avoiding purchasing superfluous equipment that will never get used.
The book pays itself just with the chapter where duChemin walk us through his experience of creating his company Craft & Vision, providing a rare behind the scenes view of how to build a business from scratch.
In addition, the sections about getting out of debt, saving and making money are amazing resources for artists who are starting and artists who are struggle to make ends meet in the market today. All the insights provided are highly applicable to business and can be implemented virtually the next day you finish reading the book.
It's an amazing book, well written, with sharp advice. Go get it, I personally recommend!
I knew when I ordered the book that I would be guilty of hindsight and its high degree of accuracy. If I had been gifted with the knowledge David generously shares maybe 50 years ago, my life would be quite different now.
Highly recommended - you really cannot afford not to buy this book - literally and figuratively!!
