One of the unique aspects of the book is the discussion of the shift from a horizontal to a vertical perspective and how it has the power to heal. The author discusses moving from a fear-based reality, where we are separate from each other, to a live-based reality, in which we are one with each other. Great stuff!!
The book is loaded with spiritual sign posts (subtle quotes) that enhance your reading experience. All the best selling authors have gold nuggets of information that can be mined as your go through the material. This book is no exception!
I noticed one reviewer posted a negative review based on a Meditation CD that was not included with the book. You can purchase the book and Meditation CD at WisdomCD.com, but the CD is not available through Amazon.
The author also has a home study program available, along with music and audio CD's which can be found at 7gatewaystogod.com.
This book is extremely well written, easy to understand and apply, and will surely bring you wonderful results. It shows how we are all connected to Divine Source, at every moment of our lives, and how we can co-create and transform our lives. It is truly a book that must be shared with others.
The 254 pages of fascinating, beautifully written, easy reading can be summed up in nine words - I am a spiritual being undergoing a human experience.
For many of the people living on earth today that human experience is all they know and accept (first level, horizontal reality). They are controlled by a dysfunctional, egoic human mind driven by self-preservation, security and survival, each appearing to be a separate and different individual from every other one, their consciousness (personal) limited to the material world of form perceived by their physical senses – they are sentient beings, with a life prescribed by conception, birth and death. Their ‘world’ is one of time (past and future) and space, and their pain, illness and disease a direct consequence of their lifestyle habits – a denial of what is and a separation from ‘God’. It is a world of duality – good or bad, like or dislike – and their thinking makes it so! However, “The truth is that who you think you are does not exist”.
The highest level (vertical reality) is the universal realm, a formless, virtual world of non-duality (unity), with no time or space – no birth, no death, no beginning or end to Life - only pure universal consciousness, which is beyond the mind, and is who you really are!
Between the two is the second level of reality, the transition realm, a “world of imagination, where prayer, faith and intention create miracles, where synchronicities happen and consciousness travels inwards.”
Almost three-quarters of the book is devoted to a discussion of seven aspects of Life – Body, Mind, Self, Relationship, World, Nature and Spirit – that provide gateways to “God that is neither a person nor a thing and …. does not exist outside of you”.
Beginning the journey, from the mind to beyond the mind, whilst undergoing our human experience is as simple as becoming conscious of our breathing – living in the present (Presence) moment - not in our egoic-mind created past, from thoughts based on memories for self-preservation, and not constantly creating the future for a sense of security to help survival but actually filling us with fear.
