And about those secret tips-- they basically boil down to "tweet and retweet hundreds and hundreds of times a day." Does Bob/Bobbi/M.LeMont have over 100k followers on Twitter? Yes. But, had I taken another minute to look at his/her activity, I would have seen that despite rabidly tweeting every minute or two, all day long, every day, there is almost NO activity on his/her posts. Nobody cares. In the most recent 75 posts or so that I went through, the absolute highest engagement was 7 people who liked one particular post (a share of some motivational picture). Probably 90% of the tweets had zero likes, comments or retweets.
The only other activity on there, and there is a lot of it, is him/her insulting people who won't buy his/her book, and being insulted by people pointing out how creepy he/she is and how his/her spelling is at about an 8th grade level. (The spelling and grammar in the book do appear as if it was written by a jr.Read more ›
The author of the book grew his Twitter account to 100,000 followers in about a year and the book is about the methods he used to do it. Along the way, the author explains a lot about the culture of Twitter users and how Twitter users interact with one another. Even if you aren't interested in gaining followers fast, you'll learn a lot about how people use Twitter.
The book explains how to find people to follow and methods to increase the likelihood that they will follow you back. It explains the limits Twitter imposes on how many people you can follow, and so on. It explains how to tweet and retweet effectively so that more people will follow you. It tells you what software the author uses to follow people, unfollow them, and find new followers.
The main thing that probably no one will emphasize is that the methods explained in this book are a lot of work. But if you are interested in growing your Twitter following, this is a fabulous book to buy.
For me however the work and time involved is too much for my purposes, so I probably won't follow everything the author teaches. But, I will try to incorporate some of his ideas and improve my following.
This is an excellent book for understanding twitter culture and for learning strategies that will help a person grow their social media platform. M LeMont has done the hard work and has a proven success record as seen in his numbers and positive reviews. He spent a year beta testing, discarding what didn’t work, expanding on what did and he’s brought it all together in this easy to read book. In his desire to help readers, he also provides links to useful resources and sites.
He lays out the fundamentals for replicating his success with straightforward strategies, along with interesting exchanges with his followers. He writes about engaging with sincerity and authenticity. He encourages honest dialogue and interaction with the belief that positive exchanges beget more positive exchanges. I can vouch for that because he did it with me, when I had very few followers. From the start I had used his site for the free advice and great articles.
He acknowledges that people desire social media growth for different reasons and that is fine. Some want it for business and others want a broader base for enjoyment and diversity of ideas and interests. It’s up to the individual.
He makes it clear it is not a numbers game but what you do with those numbers that matter, how you will engage with those followers. I am an attorney, writer, artist, model and I’ve reached out to the breadth of my experience and met fascinating people across the globe, not to mention many wonderful authors who are supportive as I edit my first novel.
I was Chief Legal Counsel for a global company and worked with a large sales and marketing force so I understand what M LeMont is saying. I have seen his fundamentals in action.Read more ›
