All those great Italian lovers out there will certainly get a kick out of this book. I highly recommend it. Whether you like gravy or sauce,
you will enjoy this fun, readable book as much as I did.
Of course I was attracted to the title of Rachel Russo’s book “How to Get Over Your Ex: A Step by Step Guide to Mend a Broken Heart Italian-American Style.” From the opening line she had me. Rachel started my healing by saying “You are NOT broken.” Powerful in any context, but certainly when you are going through a breakup, this is sage advice. Don’t miss her “Fifty Shades of ForgetAboutIt” list. Totally hilarious! She follows this up with the introduction of “Stunad” and “Fungol,” two words that will become your best friends by the time you finish reading this relationship gem.
You’ll become an honorary Russo family member, as long as your head is like a rock. And if you secretly love to be stubborn, welcome home. Rachel shares her love of family and food (a prerequisite for us Italians) so well you’ll smell the sauce cooking within these pages.
Filled with delightful quotes such as “Your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn’t love you anymore, “ by Lady Gaga, and Rachel’s own “Get tight with God,” she warmed my heart while empowering me at the same time.
You’ll get love connection advice, you’ll learn how to create a unique personal style, you’ll discover using gratitude as a path, and you’ll get some awesome tips to prepare yourself for your next great relationship. Rachel teaches you proper dating etiquette, she discusses using the latest dating technology, and she covers everything from your profile to your attitude and even presentation tips. This is THE source for all things dating.
Do you value your friends? Great. Rachel celebrates hers and gives her unique perspective on how to balance them with your love life. She makes sure that you get specific with what you want next and guides you through making your wish list. If first impressions are important, Rachel leads with class. She’ll show you how we are all slaves to our stories, and then she’ll help you make new choices to “Live La Dolce Vita.”
I absolutely LOVE this Girl and her book. A must read if you want good lovin’.
Badda Bing, Badda Boom…LOVE.
Years later I'm still having trouble getting over him. I found Rachel Russo on Google +. I really liked her honest relationship advice. When Rachel posted she wrote a book I was one of the first people to purchase it.
"How to Get Over Your Ex" is a step by step guide to help put a bad relationship to rest for ever. I needed this book. I used it as a textbook to help me 'wake up'. My marriage was unhealthy. My ex should always and forever remain an ex. Reading this book has allowed me to let my relationship rest in peace.
I highly recommend this book. Take your time reading it. Let Rachel's advice soak in. She is the Italian 'relationship whisperer'.
Read How to Get Over Your Ex and you'll have solid tools to get over your ex and make room for a better relationship!
