This book is how to get rid of bed bugs without pesticides a pest controller would use, diatomaceous earth, cedar oil, boric acid, black walnut leaf tea, double sided sticky tape, vacuum cleaner, steam cleaner, bed bug bombs and bed bug encasement.Use a flashlight to scan the folds of your mattress, box spring, bed frame, bedding bedroom furniture, cracks in crevices in room.Look for blood spots, fecal matter spots that look like a fine felt tip marker marked it,cast skins and live bed bugs themselves. The book tells you to but a flashlight by your bed and when you think your being bit turn it on and look for bed bugs put you must be quick because they quickly flee from the light.Note: another way is use climb up interceptors on your bed frame legs, glue boards, yeast traps and blue ice traps, there are other traps that are being sold or that you can learn how to make by watching youtube.First see if you can find a infestation on your mattress look at the folds with a flashlight. In a large infestation all you would have to do is flip over your mattress and you would see bed bugs.Use doubled sided sticky tape to try a few on the run.If you place the tape around the edges of your bed, couch,or chairs you may find a few crawling through them, which is a common mode of transportation for these crawlers. The book suggest smashing bed bugs on your bed sheets and then washing the sheet in cold water.Note this does not sound like it would work.Get a bed bug dog to sniff for bed bugs.Note you can also get a experienced pest control person to do this also.10 ways to get rid of bed bugs?Use boric acid note many pest control people that have written books on bed bugs say this is ineffective against bed bugs we are not dealing with cockaroaches here.2. a natural remedy would be black walnut leaf tea. This is a natural pesticide.use eye dropper to put on crevices of mattress avoid soaking it.Put in spray bottle to spray on mattress cover, pads sheets and pillowcases in a fine mist.3. soak your sheets ,pillow cases in very hot water put them in a sink or bathtub and pour a lot of boiled water in there to soak the sheets good.Note : I doubt this would work because if the steam from steam cleaners that is to wet will not kill bed bugs I doubt if this would get the sheets hot enough to kill bed bugs in it. You can also wash them on hot temperature and dry them on high heat.Use the hottest setting when you dry bedding and clothes to kill bed bugs in them.Another is first wash your bedding and clothes and seal them in a garbage bag in but it in a car on a hot day. This only works in summertime or extremely hot days.4. Tossing your mattress if it is old torn or ripped heavily infested this is expensive and should be done as a last resort.vacuum your mattress and use hot steam on every inch of the bed. After it has dried, cover the mattress with a plastic cover and make sure it has zipper on it.If you live in a hot climate, you can take your mattress outside during the daytime to eliminate any possibility of bed bugs living in your mattress. If you feel this isn"t a possibility you should also toss the sheets and the blankets while your at it.Note : many people have thick comforters, thick blankets, sleeping bags, and thick duvets that they cannot possibly kill all the bed bugs in them because they are to thick and the bed bugs can hide in the layers of fabric and avoid the heat if this is the case throw it out.5. for large items like furniture and other items use a steam cleaner that has a tip temperature of 200 f degrees to kill bed bugs and eggs.6. buy good quality fabric bed bug encasement for box spring mattresses and pillows.7. Use climb up bed bug interceptors on your bed and furniture and put talcum powder.note very good idea.8. Sprinkle diatomaceous earth around bed and along baseboards. To be completely effective, this procedure should be repeated every three or four days until no bed bugs remain.9. use a bed bug bombs, while harmful to both people and pets can be used in a cleaned out home with all windows and doors sealed. The process is a long one, often with 12 hours of exposure and six hours of clearance.10. constantly vacuuming with a high powered vacuum, note you can buy a shop vacuum and put a nylon stocking that is knee high where you attach the attachment over it and put a bag in there.Vacuum floors, rugs, beds, and thick blankets can all be gone over with the help of another person.Last resort call the exterminator this is a good option especially if you find out you have a huge or big bed bug problem.Home remedies or do it yourself products can cost from $50 to $200 dollars and are generally not as effective as a exterminator. How he got rid of bed bugs Self treatment.:Put everything in garbage bags and laundry them clothes ,bedding frequently during the week for a couple months.2.find where your bed bugs are hiding so you can treat the areas where they are.Vacuum mattresses ,box spring, sofa suitcases, backpacks and purses.4.use diatomaceuos earth 5. safe guard your bed put climb up interceptors on bed frame legs, move bed away from walls.I picked up bed bugs by going to the Olympics in Vancouver Canada. This is how I got rid of bed bugs personally.Step 1-Wash everything Take all of your linens, clothes, rugs, bed sheets, and everything else and put them in trash bags and wash them.If it is summer time you can put your stuff that will fit in a hot car to kill bed bugs.Step 2-Find the bugs The only way that you are going to get rid of these pests is find out where they hide. This will show you where to eliminate the threat as well as where to focus your effort.Step 3-Vacuum and seal Vacuum all bed,bed frame and furniture,as well as the floor surrounding the bed, backpacks suitcases, and purses.Next seal your mattress and box spring in plastic bed covers.Step 4 use Diatomaceous earth sprinkle it where you think bed bugs are..Sprinkle it liberally in every crevice of your bed,box spring, and any surrounding area where you think bed bugs are hiding. You can spread out the powder using a paint brush to create a light layer of dust Step 5 safe guard your bed This is the reason they are called bed bugs the place they want to go is where your sleeping.Use bowls and fit them on your bed legs and sprinkle some diatomaceous earth in them. That"s it.

This 'book' is terribly written. It's full of typos and has contradictions. At one point he says to wash your sheets in cold water "Washing your sheets immediately in cold water with laundry soap can help get rid of any survivors and hopefully save your fabrics." and in another spot he says to wash them in hot. When recommending diatomaceous soil, he doesn't point out that you should buy food-grade. It is unsafe to use any diatomaceous earth other than food-grade. The free advice on the internet is better than this book.
