This ebook covers everything from learning how to deal with negative reviews, learning the common mistakes people make in seeking book reviews, are paid reviews worth it, and many other things.
I liked this ebook very much and highly recommend it for authors that want to promote their book/books and know that they are doing it right.
This is definitely a WOW ebook, by this I mean I found myself in nearly all of the chapters saying, "WOW THIS IS GREAT".
However, the shipper sent the book in poor packing. The book wasn't damaged but the post office had to add a plastic wrap. The paper wrapping was way too thin and was sure to rip apart - which it did. Poor judgement.
"How to Get Your Book Reviewed: Sell more Books with Reviews, Testimonials, and Endorsements" would be most useful for writers new to the publishing field. It would help if writers were to purchase a book like this long before they considered publishing at all. In today's publishing world, where there are no gatekeepers at all and absolutely everything and anything can be published and is published, a book like this would help as a writer seeks pre-publication feedback.
This is a book designed for writers of non-fiction, who usually already have a ready-made market for reviews, if they consider their topic and know how to use a search engine. This particular book contains very little to benefit today's novelists.
Dana's book, especially specific topics such as "Select Potential Reviewers", "Sending Queries vs. Sending Books", "The Self-Publishing Bias" (all my books are POD by choice), and "Researching Media Contacts" were particularly useful to me. I highly recommend this book especially to the beginning author who wants to avoid the "trial and error" method of securing reviews that I originally followed!
