As an author and speaker I am always prayerful about hearing God's voice - not mine. I love that God cares enough to build our faith in our ability to hear Him, but confirming it through others. I have lost track of how many times I would write a devotion or message and the very next week God would confirm what He gave me through my pastor's messages, oftentimes using the same scriptures or theme. He's a good, good Father.
I love what Ian said about God is always speaking, we just have to learn how to hear Him. God is all about relationship. In a world where we are bombarded with external noise, we have to be intentional about seeking God.
After reading this book, I will make a renewed effort to embrace the uncomfortable silence needed to still my mind in order to hear the voice of my heavenly Father. What a privilege and honor.
