"Pope Benedict XVI likes to remind us that a priest is a man of God. In Fr. Pacwa's book, a man of God introduces us to God so that we can listen to him well. This is a book helpful to both the friends of God and those still distant from him." --Francis Cardinal George, OMI, Archbishop of Chicago
"Slowing down and listening are "must do's" if we are to grow in our relationship with Christ and his Church. But unfortunately, in today's hectic and harried world, even Catholics with the best of intentions have a hard time placing these activities at the top of their priority lists. In How to Listen When God is Speaking, Fr. Mitch uses his loving but direct voice to help modern-day Catholics get back to basics in order to hear what God has to say." --Teresa Tomeo, Syndicated Catholic Talk Show Host and Catholic Author
"Practical, clear, personable, and scriptural--everything I love about Fr. Mitch Pacwa's teaching is here. This book is a glimpse into a great man's heart as he shares the lessons he's learned from God's word and the Church as well as from the people he's known. To read this is to learn and grow closer to God." --Scott Hahn, professor of theology, Franciscan University of Steubenville
"We're good at seeking advice from friends, talk shows, and celebrities, but in this book--filled with his trademark wit and practical insights--Fr. Pacwa gives us a guide for listening to the Creator himself. He has even included questions at the end of each chapter to impel us to action." --Raymond Arroyo, creator and host of EWTN's "World Over Live" and author of Mother Angelica

The book is about 173 pages. It's difficult to put down once you start reading it. I'm glad I purchased it and recommend it highly.
I would recommend Fr. Timothy Gallagher's "The Discerment of spirits" to get a good, deep study of the Rule of St. Ignatius, and Fr. Thomas Dubay's "Prayer Primer" or "Fire within" for a well written, and easy to read, yet spiritually deep study on types of prayer.
If you have trouble reading St. Theresa or St. John of the Cross, try Father Mitch. He has a knack for "bringing the hay down to where the goats can reach it."
