Editorial Reviews

From the Author

This book began as blogs I wrote about different experiences I have had since about a year after my walk with the LORD began. Sometimes I write about things that happened prior to my walk, like in the very beginning of my book when I talk about my mom - whom I have dedicated this book to. It was difficult to write that part because I have not been the same since she passed away and I miss her every day. Some days the only thing that keeps me going is knowing I will see her again someday. I also live for the LORD and to help others. I speak better through written words, which is one reason why being a writer and author is the perfect fit for me. I enjoy writing what I learn, when passion strikes me to write about something I just experienced, so I can help reach others who go through similar difficulties so they know they are not alone and that there are solutions, all found in Jesus Christ. I also hope that my readers who may not yet have made some of the mistakes I made that I write about, to learn from my mistakes. Nobody is perfect, but Jesus loves us anyway, and it gives me great pleasure to share of Jesus' love for everyone. God speaks through me in my writing, which is an amazing experience, and God promises that wherever He sends His word, it will bear fruit. I hope God's word bears fruit in your lives. I encourage everyone who reads my book to read it with their Bible - or if they don't have one yet - with a Bible app or web site like or bible gateway. One final thing: whenever I would finish writing each blog, or written advice with Scriptures to back it up, I would feel at peace. I hope you will experience this peace: God's peace, as you read my book, and the Holy Bible with it.

About the Author

My name is Alexis Kaye Wright. I was born in Manhattan, New York on February 5, 1983 and raised in a small town in New Jersey until I was 17. I currently live in San Jose, California. I've had a passion for writing since I was ten years old, and since I can remember, I have always wanted to make a positive difference in other's lives and make this world a better place to live in. Back in 2013, I figured out how to combine the two desires. I write for the LORD and as much as He wants it, I want for everyone to know that Jesus loves them and to make it to God's Kingdom. I was baptized April 18, 2012 at the Church of Christ near to where I live. I will continue writing things I learn in my walk with the LORD and when I have enough for another book, there will be another book and I will get it published. I enjoy going to the beach to watch and listen to the ocean waves crash because it is calming and peaceful, and I also like taking in God's beautiful creations: The ocean, trees, flowers, the sky, and other beautiful scenes of nature that God created. I am an aunt to two 4 year old twin nephews.
