So, this author clearly has a Formula she generally writes to:
- Young woman (maybe part of the ton, maybe not) doesn't want to get married. She's afraid of the D and thinks sex sounds DISGUSTING. She has a Goal that doesn't include getting married
- Dude doesn't want to get married for some reason (the actual reason varies). Dude is definitely noble.
- But they meet and immediately sparks fly. So much so that within a week they've generally done the Deed but the girl is still resisting marriage because of her Goal
- When they did do the deed it was perfect and magical and they both reached their Conclusion together, despite it being the girl's first time.
- They decide they are in LURVE FOREVER and marry

Look, I know lots of romance novels are formulaic. I don't have an issue with that. But I feel like I've given this author a fair chance by attempting more than one of her novels, and not only are they formulaic, they're boring.

I enjoyed this book, but it was too much like the previous book, What to do with a Duke. I was very much hoping it would at least span far enough into the future to see if the "curse" would be broken. Apparently the author will add another book June 207 to give us a clue as to what happens with Cat and Marcus. I did think this book was much, much steamier than the first book, but the author didn't give us anything new... (SPOILER ALERT AHEAD) I was very disappointed that the story line for Anne's "first time" was the same as "Cat's". Other than that I really enjoyed the book and will certainly be buying the next.

I have read the first two books in this series and enjoyed them. The second book and this book really could have been written as one book (I can only assume the last book is the same as those character's story is told concurrently with the characters in the first two books) . There is so much repetition of the previous book it was really difficult for me to read (as I had read two-thirds of the story in the previous book). I will not bother with the last book in the series as I can pretty much figure it out on my own. Even though I was sorely disappointed the reason I gave three stars and not less is because Sally MacKenzie is a good writer and storyteller. I have read and enjoyed the majority of her books. I feel this series was written liked she wanted to get a quick series out and did A TON of cutting and pasting. I find it so disappointing when authors do this, it just feels like a cop out and a slight to the reader.

There were parts of this book that I loved and parts that I didn't like. I thought there was too much reviewing the previous book, probably to make it a stand alone read. I liked the main characters and their attraction to each other. I thought the author was too kind in letting Anne's father and stepmother get away scot free after being unkind to Anne. Wish Anne would have said something to both of them for being so uncourteous to her.
