- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2024I am using this book as the text for my high school financial literacy course. It's easy to read, a quick read, engaging, and has lots of good graphics. The authors interview many well-known-to-teens people which my students are really enjoying. The text of the book is inclusive and demonstrates diversity which I appreciate as my students are largely not white and female.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2024Bought it for a HS student (grandchild) who makes great tips waitressing and blows it
all on Tory Burch. She’s decided to save $200/month after she read it. Doubt she hit every chapter :) but it’s a good start. Recommend!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2023It wasn't available at the age at which I would have gotten the most use out of it - age 17. I think that there's tons of solid and accessible advice available inside, and I was happy to see Tiffany Aliche and Ilhan Omar chime in.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2022I've purchased a few copies of this book for young friends, including a niece who just graduated high school. It's filled with tremendously valuable, easily digestible information and advice. I sincerely wish I'd been given a book like this when I was a teen or young adult.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2023I am not the target demographic for this book (which seems to be teenage girls), so take my review as a grain of salt...
While I found the book to be a very quick read, I also found it to be very general and not particularly groundbreaking. The information in this book is the same thing you can find on any finance blog with the exception of their personal interviews at the end of each chapter.
I found the definitions of finance terms like credit, debit, APR & deductible in the middle of the page to be distracting, but maybe a teen would be interested in that format.
Overall it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't read it again or recommend it to friends or family.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2024I love this book 📚 got it for my oldest son and currently buying a copy for home ( other kids).
It is well organized, written and has a ton of information for you to explore when it comes to your finances. I highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2023Book would be decent if it wasn’t forcing cherry picked “gender” “racial” “income” inequality and telling your teens to vote towards, you guessed it, Democrat! The above “gaps” have already been debunked countless times, go watch Jordan Peterson or do your research and actually deep dive into the data concerning race, gender and income gap disparity. Bottom line: People who make more: work more, sacrifice more, negotiate, are less agreeable, hungry to do more, etc. so they earn more! Shocker, you actually have to work hard and make big sacrifices to get to the top. Glosses over RothIRA but goes into detail about Crypto? Avoid the book, go with MotleyFool Or a better investment/money book.

Jim EdwardsReviewed in the United Kingdom on May 19, 20225.0 out of 5 stars They should teach this in school
This is everything about money that they should have taught you when you were young but did not. One of the best things about the book is that the pages are colour-coded so you never lose your place. The chapters are all really short and have tons of lists, charts, graphics, and bullet points — so it's really easy to read. Give this book to a teenager. They will thank you (perhaps in the following decade!)

This book is jam packed full of visual images of common sense financial planning images.
I would highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys books filled with fantastic wisdom and fantastic insight of the world of money. The authors of this book did a wonderful job and I highly recommend this book to anyone.

BBReviewed in Canada on January 11, 20245.0 out of 5 stars FOR MOM & TEENS
Although written from an American financial stand point, the lessons stand for Canadians as well. Easy read. Quirky. Intensely informative. I am almost done reading it and my oldest wants to read it next. Teaches all the things for those of us who weren't taught how to manage our money.
