I liked the "worksheets" at the back, they really help us to frame a mindset around giving up and taking a hard look as to why we smoke, want to quit, the cost and the benefits of quitting etc.

I think the title speaks for itself but anyone trying to give up smoking or has tried a few times in the past to quit and failed will gain from Tom's different approach and confidence booster to stop that nasty habit. As all smokers know, quitting isn't the easiest thing in the world to do.

This book is filled with easy to follow great practical tips to quit smoking. Most people know that quitting smoking becomes a psychological game once you decide to quit .This book is great to beat the temptation/urge to go back to smoking again. Follow the instruction and become a winner.

There are few topics that are more important to our health and well being than to "Quit Smoking"! I do agree with some of the reviews that quitting smoking is one of the hardest things to do because of the multi-faceted additions that play games with all quitters, but especially those looking for excuses of why they cannot quit. This book deals with many of those issues in a straight forward manor and will be the answer to many who are really open to answers. Smoking is one of the most addictive habits to break, it is never easy. This book gives an excellent method for improving your success at breaking this nasty addiction. Will it work? No one can guarantee that, but it will certainly give you a fighting chance. And for the small price you will pay for this book compared to what you are spending on smokes it is well worth a try.

Breaking bad habits is always a struggle but quitting smoking is probably one of the hardest. I recommend this book for anyone thinking about or trying to quit. This book explains origins of smoking tobacco, why it's hard to quit and what you can do to help your progress forward in a no nonsense way.

As a New Year's Resolution my girlfriend and I plan to quit smoking so a guide like this is just what I need to prepare myself. The book not only provides loads of helpful info and quitting smoking but also really motivates you and gets you in the right mindset to kick the habit. You learn how to deal with withdrawals, how to control how you feel, and mental and visualization techniques in a simple and effective ways. It even provides you with a seven day plan and worksheets to help you through the process. To anyone looking to quit smoking; this book is seriously worth checking out.

If you have the sincere desire to quit and you are ready- the questions and guidance in this book will keep you going. It offers help in discovering where your blind spots might be, so you can head them off and keep them from sabotaging your goal. You get a fast overview to decide what works for you. This book is direct, to the point and in your face in its writing approach. It almost demands/invites that you step into self-responsibility and self-honesty. This is a good thing- the "get real" part.

Tho the first part of book gave good info re tobacco and stop smoking products, not much original in here. In the case study section he verged on psychobabble. Also wonder if Oct 24, 2012 is the orig pub date or date the e-book version; it reads like an older book esp some of the stats.

I got this to try to get in the mindset to stop smoking. Haven't stopped yet but haven't finished reading yet. But so far....its a good read
