One criticism I have is a lack of diversity in the children and families represented in this textbook. I work with families in the Global Majority, but most of the people depicted in this book are heteronormative and White. I hope in future editions the authors and photographers collaborate with Montessori classrooms and families who are more representative of the Global Majority.
