Recent Praise for How He Really Feels

"Lisa Suzanne you sure can write!!" - Elizabeth, Delighted Reader

"I found myself completely lost in the story and hated when it had to come to an end... Romantic and steamy, a perfect combo." -Nikki S., Winding Stairs Book Blog

"I am a die hard romantic and the main character of Nick fulfills my fantasy of a sweet, caring, and sexy book boyfriend to a 'T'. Lisa Suzanne was able to spin a love and lust filled storyline with so much feeling that my heart felt like it was literally bursting out of my chest!" -Kelly, Kiss and Tell Reviews

"This author has an excellent way of using dialogue between the characters. There are some books I read and I wonder if they ever have conversation aside from the moans and groans they make in the bedroom. I like a book that develops the characters relationship. I like it to tell me how the characters developed passion for each other. I cannot wait for Lisa Suzanne's next book 'What He Really Feels'." -Emily, The SubClub Books Blog

"Did I mention the sex scenes are super duper HOT??? I promise you won't be disappointed with this book. Great job for new author Lisa Suzanne." - Donna, My Sticky Pages Book Blog

"I feel the budding of a wonderful writer in our presence." -Desiree, The Book Bar

"First time author Lisa Suzanne has written a steamy, entertaining contemporary romance... I enjoyed reading HOW HE REALLY FEELS." -Karen, Cocktails and Books Blog

There's everything to like about this sweet romance. Nick seems to be the perfect hero. Julianne seems to be the perfect heroine. Their romance, although delayed by a year, seems perfect and sweet. It seems almost impossible for things to go wrong. But when they do, everything just becomes perfectly ridiculous.
*SPOILER ALERT*
Nick is a very decent, nice, truthful, honest and so very very sweet, he almost gave me cavities. There is nothing 50 Shades or complicated about him. He tells her all about the other 16 women he's slept with for goodness sake. Clearly, he is not one to hide about anything. So how does it makes sense for him to break up with Julianne the way he did? How does it make sense for him to say the things he did? It just does not jive with his character!!! I hate it when plot takes over in expense of a character. And how do we reconcile with Julianne when she sleeps with her best friend Travis almost immediately after? She was drunk but not drunk enough not to realise what she was doing. Ugh! I don't get why these two are best friends. They grew up together - big deal. I don't see their connection other than their "friends with benefits" deal. There's nothing in the story that convinces me why they are even friends. Travis is an overgrown immature manwhore who sulks when he doesn't get what he wants. What kind of friend is he anyway that he would take advantage of Julianne when she's DRUNK and newly dumped? He sleeps in her bed all day afterwards and just assumes everything's gone his way then sulks when they don't. What a MORONIC JERK! And even more idiotic is Julianne! When Travis goes out with another girl ("but my heart is with you" - MORON!) she gets all jealous and possessive and claims him for herself. But she also wants to be "just friends". Greedy, much?

How He Really Feels is about twenty something Julianne Baker who finds herself madly in love with her boss, Nick Matthews. She has known him for a year and the relationship has been nothing but professional then a kiss on New Year's Eve changes everything. The couple embark on relationship but have to keep things secret due to a strict company policy forbidding it. I was really worried this was going to be one of those stories where the woman is secretly in love with her boss but he doesn't share the same feelings or one those stories where they secretly hook up after a drunken Christmas party but she finds out later that he is just a player and was using her...none of the above. These two really fall hard for each other while hiding the fact they are a couple from co-workers and friends. Their secret romance is only a small part of what makes this such a great story. You could say there was a bit of a love triangle when Julianne's best friend Travis reveals his true feelings for her. Julianne made a terrible mistake that she quickly regretted and it caused a major fall out for all involved. I will let the reader discover what happened and determine who was as fault with the whole situation. Unresolved issues from Nick's childhood also come into story and hopefully there will be a book 2 that will explain the problems with his family.

My favorite character while reading `How He Really Feels' was Nick. He was really a good guy though out the book who did make a few mistakes. At time I questioned his decision making but I think he did everything for love. He wasn't any kind of cheater and really loved Julianne to a fault. For once it was the woman of the story who cause most of the problems the couple have to endure.

I am feeling all warm and fuzzy after finishing this fantastic book! I am a die hard romantic and the main character of Nick fulfills my fantasy of a sweet, caring, and sexy book boyfriend to a "T". Lisa Suzanne was able to spin a love and lust filled storyline with so much feeling that my heart felt like it was literally bursting out of my chest!

Julianne has had secretive feelings for her boss for over a year. When she first laid eyes on him, she had an instantaneous attraction. Little did she know that he felt exactly the same way on their first meeting. But true love can't be that easy!! Nick had to sign an employment agreement that he could not have a relationship with a fellow co-worker. But their attraction towards each other becomes too strong for them to fight.

Julianne's best friend and ex boyfriend/lover Travis is not excited about the budding romance between Julianne and Nick. Travis has secretly been in love with Julianne for 10 years. But is it too late to finally tell her how he feels?

I was literally bowled over by the amount of emotion that author Lisa Suzanne was able to pull from me as I read this novel. Many authors write romance novels, but few can capture pure emotion as is evidenced in this book.

"You are my reason for living, for breathing, for being. And I will spend every day for the rest of my life trying to be good enough for you if you'll let me."

I highly recommend this book if you are ready to be swept away in a sea of emotions. I promise that you will not be disappointed!!
