About the Author

Dr. Sarita Uhr is a psychiatrist who is passionate about helping people improve their lives. Her psychiatry training at Stanford University School of Medicine and over 24 years in private practice have helped her understand the obstacles people face that delay positive change. Over the years, she has counseled people struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, attention deficit disorder, relationship issues, family problems and career stress.

During her career, Dr. Uhr has published many books and articles on different aspects of mental health and self-improvement.. Dr. Uhr graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Pomona College in Claremont, California. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry there years later.

Dr. Uhr is in private practice in Dallas, Texas. />She loves to write, hang out with family and friends, and listen to Beatles and All Time Low music. She escapes to the beach in Southern California for vacation whenever she can.
