There's a process for campfire story telling. There's 1 for slam events. And of course the basic structure for telling a story orally can be adapted to writing or online. This book is focused on the oral side of story telling but many concepts are critical to being compelling online or in writing.
I like how the book was built. Each chapter can stand alone and be used for easy reference. Or you can read it cover to cover, though I don't know why you would. In this time crunched world go right to the chapter(s) that suit your current purpose. That's what I did. Of interest to me were the Introduction, Storytelling for adults, Developing great characters, and advanced techniques.
The authors include separate sections that focus on different types of storytelling venues and audiences. From the schoolroom to the courtroom, every scenario is covered with very detailed techniques and methods that will train anyone to be a professional storyteller. Highly recommended!
