Editorial Reviews

Review

"As a nurse who is passionate about encouraging the next generation of nurses, I sincerely appreciated Nick's book.  I also love his brand of witty nurse-humor!    --Kati Kleber,BSN, RN, CCRN, author and founder of FreshRN
"Whether you've never worked a day in health care or are a 90 year old nurse with a hat, this book is a fabulous resource blah blah blah--thing is, you need to be close to an AED when you read Mr. Angelis' book so someone can resuscitate you if you die laughing!"   --Elisha Earnest, RN, BSN
Specific to the 2018 update on $ and <3 :
"Nick Angelis's writing style is fantastic--he transplants his personality so effortlessly into written word! Everything he discusses is thorough and helpful."  --Tricia Exman, Life Strategist, Transformation Coach, speaker, and author of Twisted Truths and Yada, Yada, Yada.
"You really shouldn't listen to anything I have to say on Nick's take on finance, savings, and cool kid investments like bitcoin and equity crowdfunding, because I'm his brother."  --John Angelis, PhD, Assistant Professor of Management at the Schulich School of Business, Elizabethtown College

From the Back Cover

If you're reading this, you may be curious about the ridiculously astounding and occasionally blood-curdling experiences that await you in healthcare.  Actually, it's fairly difficult to curdle blood and rarely recommended, even if you buy this practical guide.  Does this book stay on topic more than the back cover does?  No, but you won't fall asleep and drool on the pages like you have on all of your textbooks.  Moreover, Mr. Angelis' book will only cost you the equivalent of several Ramen boxes.

It's updated frequently and now features additional sections on investing and relationships for students and practitioners.  Besides the title, other topics include selecting a healthcare specialty, interviewing well, the best ways to transform theoretical knowledge into something useful for your patients, and avoiding the kind of student loan payments that tempt you to sell your children--after all, it's difficult to attend clinicals from jail.
