Sweden prides itself on being a multicultural society, with a large fraction of its population originating in a diverse number of countries. Multiculturalism in Sweden is beyond criticism; the idea that Sweden might be anything but multicultural would strike the average Swedish citizen as absurd and even morally reprehensible. Yet this is a recent development. For its entire history prior to the 1970s, Sweden was a monocultural society, and the idea that Sweden would ever be anything but the nation-state of ethnic Swedes would have struck the average Swede as equally absurd and reprehensible.

This book presents, for the first time, the story of how Sweden became multicultural. It documents the debate in the media, focusing on the major contributors who shaped the attitude of modern Sweden towards multiculturalism. Through this, it makes clear to the reader that this change did not originate from within Sweden, but was pushed for most energetically by Swedish residents from other ethnicities. Who were they? What were the motives guiding their advocacy? Was it made with the best interests of Swedes in mind? The answers are enlightening, and sometimes disturbing, but essential for confronting the question of a multicultural Sweden, and a multicultural West, moving forward.

Vicsious 'Social Justice Warriors' Plot to Permanently Deconstruct Traditional Sweden

The April, 1963 edition of National Geographic magazine has an extensive 40-page article on Sweden detailing the scintillating success of all aspects of life in that idyllic Nordic nation at that time. The article by Andrew H. Brown, titled "Sweden, Quiet Workshop for the World," states that the nation of then only seven and a half million "shares with Switzerland the highest standard of living in Europe," and that "racially, Swedes are remarkably homogeneous; there has been little infusion of outside blood."

Swedish Prime Minister Tage Erlander in 1965 declared in response to race riots here in the United States in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles that "we Swedes live in such an infinitely happier situation. The population in our country is homogeneous, not only in terms of race, but also in many other aspects."

In 1900, foreign-born citizens accounted for a vanishingly small 0.7 percent of Sweden’s population. By 2016 the number of foreign-born citizens had risen to 17.9 percent, with no end in sight. Since consciously deciding to become a "multicultural" country during the 1960s and 1970s, Sweden has elected to take in hundreds of thousands immigrants from incompatible non-Western and third-world Muslim countries at taxpayer expense.

"How Sweden Became Multicultural" is a short but enlightening read. It is the length of a well-researched and documented master's thesis. It will not answer questions about the current state of affairs in Sweden, such as the masses of "refugees" the country has been forced to absorb by their European Union overlords over the last few years, or other such more recent issues. But if you are wondering what the catalyst was to change Sweden so radically to begin with, this book is a must.

Tourists visit Sweden to see the country described in that 1963 National Geographic magazine, and by Prime Minister Erlander in 1965. That is the ideal. Nobody goes to Sweden to see a soul-crushingly disappointing cesspool of "multiculturalism" and "diversity," but that, sadly, is what Sweden has become.
