The plot provides an insight to the character's motivations via the clever use of flashback from key moments in their respective life stories and allows the reader to fully engage and understand their present dilemmas as they come to terms with the past and how it impacts on a moving, yet uplifting ending.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable novel from Deborah Serravalle and I look forward to reading more.
