About the authors

Alex Stephenson is an author and artist. Living in Tahlequah, OK with his wife and two children, he works as a licensed professional counselor for the Cherokee Nation. Writing and drawing in his free time, Alex started the web comic Narcolepsy Inc. in 2008 as a fun way to cope with the challenges of daily life as a therapist. Since then, he has worked on numerous educational/inspirational children's books, and has collaborated with his good friend Brad Wagnon to bring long-told Cherokee stories to life. Alex enjoys finding new ways to share art and fun experiences with others.

Brad Wagnon is Cherokee author and storyteller who lives in Gideon, OK. He has a passion for sharing Cherokee History and Culture with future generations. He works for the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, OK and taught Cherokee Language, History and Culture at Tahlequah High School for 10 years.

My daughter is part Cherokee and I am trying to teach her about the Cherokee nation. This is a wonderful book about first responders but nothing about the Cherokee. Very disappointed, and just confused.
