For a beginner, he takes all the mystery out of the process of POV and for the writer with some experience it’s an excellent refresher course. That Doc is a professor with a lifetime of teaching experience makes HOW TO an outstanding and exceptional tool for writers, both new and experienced. In teaching each mode, he provides instruction as he writes a short story for each person. His provision of a summary he at the end of each section along with Tips is a huge bonus. I can’t recommend this book enough!

I am a beginning writer and I've read many "How to Write..." books, but few are in my library. I've added this book to my library. This book didn't come off like a how-to-write book. I felt Dr. Murdock's approach was more of a, "Come here, let me show you something." I suggest you add this to your library.
