The first pressing I got on clear vinyl was noisy. I later received a quick (much cleaner) replacement (thank you). BUT…I noticed the mastering was very non-dynamic and bland (similar to Oasis’ vinyl releases). I suggest Dulli pick a better Mastering person/company next time. But LOVE LIVE THE WHIGS! ✌️

As with all the other latest Dulli and Co. releases, "How Do You Burn?" rewards with repeated listens. Although not as strong as "In Spades" (How could it be? That album is an absolute masterpiece and one of Dulli's finest), this is a strong collection of songs. I will always be excited to hear anything that Dulli releases. Not many artists are able to maintain the level of quality in their output that he has. I am glad that Mark Lanegan blessed us with his talent on some of these songs and he will definitely be missed by so many of us.

Man what a beautiful disc caught them on tour flew out to Toronto for this tour and they had just lost their guitarist to the big C and played with such ferocity like it was their last night on earth. Frankie and Johnny is the follow up to Gentlemen's My Curse and just a gorgeous track .Excellent addition to the library 180gr clear vinyl and a gatefold to boot.You cannot go wrong with this classic Duili and last time he and the fantastic Mark Lannigan were to work together.

Es gibt einfach keine Band die so konstant über so viele Jahre so gut Soul in Rockmusik packen kann. Was beim aktuellen Album hervorsticht sind die vielen guten Gäste die dort mitwirken. Ich denke wer diese Band einmal geliebt hat wird sie immer lieben. Ich sah sie im Juli in Berlin und ich hoffe sie kommen noch einmal um dieses Album zu promoten, denn auch life sind sie einfach klasse. Ich könnte jetzt noch endlos mehr schreiben, ich möchte einfach nur empfehlen, wer anspruchsvollen Alternativrock mit sehr viel Soul mag der möge in die Alben dieser Band reinhören.

The release of this L.P was met, in this house at least, with excitement tinged with a little sadness. Mark Langahan finished his vocals just before leaving for Ireland, where he became ill and died. It was listening to Dulli and Mark, as 'The Twilight Singers' and 'The Gutter Twins,' that introduced me to post 'Screaming Trees' Langahan . But I digress. This is a great Afghan Whigs L.P., bittersweet and classically Dulli, a must buy if you've ever been a fan. Mine also came on clear vinyl which was nice.
