I have been privileged to be in many of Judy Wright's parenting classes. What you see is what you get. She is very non-judgmental and supportive of families all over the world. When I attend her classes or read her books, I know she will not preach and give me lots of guilt or theory, but sound practical advice.

Often our family just needs a little nudge or change in what we already do. It really makes me reassured when I realize we are on the right track but just need to commit to following through.

Thanks Judy for sharing your stories and experiences. Our family appreciates it.

I read this book and admit that I thought some of the points offered were unique and just might work. There is much wisdom in encouraging our children to do things for themselves because the future benefits far outweigh any cost it might have in the present. I intend to go through the guide again to come up with initial ideas to try in my house. The book had so many ideas that there was no way to remember them all so I'm sure to use it as a reference guide.

I love Judy Wright's thoughtful, compassionate and fun approach to children and household chores. Her writing does a lovely job of inspiring parents to teach kids how to learn and grow (and still clean their rooms). Thanks, Judy, and for all your great writing at Artichoke Press!

I wish I'd had this book when my own kids were young - it would have come in very handy! However, I'll definitely be sharing it with them now, as I'm sure it will help them with getting their kids to help at home. The suggestions that the author makes are quite simple and doable, and would definetely make "doing chores" much more fun for everyone. A great resource book for all parents.

Getting kids to help around the house can be a struggle. This is a great guide from Judy Wright which contains tons of actionable and easy to apply tips for getting your kids to pitch in, without fights or temper tantrums. The introduction is also a great reminder of what and why we want our kids to be part of the helping household.
