About the author

An award-winning best-selling author, David White is certified as an electronics engineer and developed a portfolio of products and services that developed over the years. This then developed into a consulting practice that included rolling out the launch and management of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year Awards program over its inaugural five years. Nearly thirty years later it has become a global phenomenon.
Weboptimiser, a search marketing business set up before Google became ubiquitous. David White set standards for the IAB as Chair of IAB UK and then Europe Search Council. David White then became certified as a software developer, project manager, and in a range of security subjects. David has trained consultants and DevOps teams in Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, etc. Recent clients include Dell, the NHS, and PwC.
His experience led him to develop Enterprise Security Operations Risk Management Architecture (ESORMA) a cybersecurity framework with Mustafa Ahmed. This was based on personal experience, cybersecurity client projects, and feedback from colleagues and IT directors, and managers.

You can get a flavour of what this book is about from David's Rule #1..."First get a customer". Sounds ridiculously obvious but all too many people miss this and instead get tied up in things that take up valuable time and resources and contribute nothing to the business. The book follows on with no nonsense practical steps all with the aim of showing how to get money coming in to a new business.
So, short of taking David out to lunch and picking his brains for his enormous business experience, this book is the next best thing. Who knows…this could be the start of something big for you.
