Right off the bat, let me say that I returned the HuMn 2 and bought a HuMn mini. The mini is exactly what I was looking for and gets a 5* review. The only real issue I had with the 2 is it's just a little too big. I was looking for a sturdier, RFID protective version of my beloved Swallet. The Swallet is great, but I have to buy a new one every year. They just don't hold up. The width of the HuMn 2 is just right, but the wallet is about an inch taller than the average credit card and I was constantly having to center my cards inside the wallet. The mini is almost identical in dimension to the Swallet and is perfect for my needs. The RFID shielding on both the 2 and the mini is excellent; even with my identification card OUTSIDE the wallet, I have to get it very close to the secured access card reader at my workplace. If you are looking for something in the minimalistic realm, consider this and the HuMn mini. I admit they are a bit on the pricey side, but they are very sturdy, fit easily in any pocket (front or back), the RFID protection is awesome, and they just look cool. I got the CF version of the mini and the matte finish on the carbon plates is gorgeous.

I just received this but it's going back. I like the look of the design, but the operation is difficult and awkward. The plates are held together with an elastic band which holds cards and money securely between the plates but also makes prying them apart extremely difficult in the best of circumstances. The plates are just large enough to hold a credit card which is nice, but trying to keep the plates spread with my thumb is very uncomfortable. Perhaps the designers can create a quick release and quick lock mechanism to take off some of the strain temporarily that would help.

On the plus side, it is small and light. It will hold several credit card sized items and even 100 Euro notes folded in half. Oddly, I don't have any US notes handy but I think they, because of the length, would need to be folded in 3rds. It's right sized, that's for sure.

I suppose that if I kept things I rarely use like my license or medical cards between the plates and kept things I use more often in the bands, it would be OK, but the grip in the bands seemed flimsy.

The thing I like about this product is that it is compact, but because pressure is whats holding the cards in place, it does become a little cumbersome to remove them or find the card you want.

At first when I picked up the HuMn 2, I thought "Should've gotten the mini..." The 2 is about 1" taller than a credit card. This larger size, however, comes in handy when you're trying to go minimalist, but aren't quite ready to fully commit to bare necessities...

When I replaced my broken-down billfold, I was carrying 4 CC's, 3 Insurance Cards, 1 frequent buyer's cards, 2 business cards, 2 picture IDs, a gym membership card, a transit card, an arcade gamer's card, and cash. Cramming ALL of that into a HuMn, I experienced the 'card ejection' problem that's mentioned on youTube. I was about ready to return it, but I figured I would give it a week.

After day two, I realized that I could consolidate... Over those next few days:
- Why carry business cards when I have a smartphone? Photos taken, contact information added into the phone, cards went bye-bye...
- I transferred insurance info into business card sized piece of paper. Policy Names/ Numbers & Support line. Even had room for Emergency Contact Info and Allergy Information (Don't have any, but couldn't hurt to have on there!)
- My gym is in the same building as my office. My work ID is on my backpack. Clipped those two together, now I never forget either...
- My transit card is the most often used card, so that went to the outside rubber band. Cash on the other face...
- One of the 4 CC's got the boot, since its seldom used (Gotta keep it though, Amazon points! ;) )
- One frequent buyer's card was thrown out, since they can search me by email address or phone number...
- Gamer's card got placed in the glove compartment of the car, as I have to drive to get to the nearest arcade...

I was excited to get this wallet because I had heard good things and I wanted to try to reduce the bulk in my back pocket. This wallet is great for some reasons, but not so great for others. It definitely reduced bulk and made me think about the types of things I wanted to carry in my wallet. I now leave more than half of my cards at home and only carry around the ones I use most. I carry the wallet in my front pocket. It is very slim and can fit in the same pocket as my phone no problem. The problem is that it is a bit heavy.

It is also kind of a pain to access stuff that is in between the plates. The videos and reviews show the wallet fanning out the cards to make selection easy, but in practice they usually don't spread the same way. It takes some getting used to to be able to open the wallet and hold it open. Even after a couple of weeks using the wallet it is still awkward for me to open it with two hands, hold it open with one hand, and then select the card I need. Cards you keep on the outside are extremely easy to access, but do not benefit from the RFID blocking.

Overall it is an ok wallet. I like that I can keep it in my front pocket. Sitting on a wallet gets old. It is too much hassle, though, and I will keep searching for the right wallet for me.
