EDIT 2: Sent them back. A few deal breakers, 1st.....the Freebuds 2 are coming out soon. Might as well wait? 2nd, the call quality is the worst i have ever heard from any device. 3rd, drop outs. Its not often, but sometimes is drops out and never reconnects, you have to go into the settings, look for the freebuds etc. Tedious. 4th, battery indicators. There is no way to tell how much battery they have or the case has. I have been screwed a few times when out and about. If they are dead, they might as well not exist.
EDIT: After a couple of weeks an update. I also own the Jaybird X3 which are known for being an audiophiles wireless earphone. I would say the FreeBuds are at least as good if not better. The problem the out of the box EQ on the freebuds sucks. You gotta do some EQing of your own. The ONLY negative I have is the damn touch gestures. They go off ALL the time without me activating them.
ORIGNAL: I was skeptical to say the least. I was fully prepared to send them back day one. Many reviews slating fit, sound, battery, design, connection issues etc. I opened these, paired right away, fit perfectly, sounded amazing. End of. Im genuinely impressed with everything these earbuds do. Sound is EXCELLENT FOR A TRUE WIRELESS EARBUD. No they will not compete with most wired headphones, but the bass is punchy and deep, almost too much, treble and mids were slightly lost initially but a little EQ and now they are nicely balanced. Full sound but closed off sound stage, again to be expected. Noise cancelling.....no evidence of this as far as i can tell however the fit is so perfect, the seal blocks out all external noise. I cannot hear someone talking right in front of my face.
TLDR, make sure you understand wireless earbuds and their limitations and you will not be disappointed. Will certainly be looking at Huawei again in the future for wireless earbuds.

Huawei is not yet officially available in the US (yet) so there's no way to try the products on by I took a leap of fait to order it. The silicone buds fit PERFECTLY into my ears (unlike the prestigious apple AirPods that everyone goes crazy about. AirPods slip off my ears constantly and the fixed shape didn't feel so natural compare to Huawei). I am also glad that they are in black but only hope Huawei is doing matted black instead of glossy though.
Battery-wise it doesn't last long as advertised. I can only get less than 2 hours for one long trip on my bike. When I popped them back into the case it doesn't actually recharge as I hope.
I am happy with the product in terms of price and design. Sound quality is moderate but for what I use at the gym and on my commute this is good enough for what I paid for. Too bad the new Huawei Freebuds 2 went straight to copy AirPods design. I would probably upgrade to the 2 then.

Technological is good one. They turn on/off themselves when you take or put them in charging case. You can double tap on each to play/pause music or speak to siri/google assistant. But... sound quality is pretty bad. They don't stay good in ears, bass if sick, middle and high frequencies are also so so, sound like from a barrel. They don't support aptX. They play maximum 2 hours on normal gain. And I can't update software through official app. So, I'm a bit disappointed. Their max price is 90$. I'm returning them.

Bought these back in November 2018. Still works great, battery life is still good, and quality holds up. I've used them mostly for podcasts at a moderate level of volume and I can squeeze about 4-5 hours from them before they run out of energy. But all you have to do is pop them back in the case for a bit and they'll be recharged in like half-an-hour.
The only thing I've noticed that was bad was that a small rubber ring around the ear piece came loose. It's the small hoop that has the L or R symbol on it.

Not the greatest pair of earbuds. When using both, usually the left one goes out and will not reconnect. The sound quality is VERY tinnie. The touch functionality only works occasionally, so one ends up needing to grab the device to hang up. Would I recommend, not at all.

okay product. I'm six months now into owning them now and the battery life is horrible. Barely last me 90 minutes at the gym. have issues with them staying in my ears when I'm on the move as well. The touch controls are hypersensitive & frequently pause my music or bring up Google assistant. On top of all of that, the Bluetooth frequently disconnects out of nowhere while my phone is in my pocket. It's happened across multiple devices so it's obvious it's the earphones. It's worth spending a little extra on a better product.

Annoying control system. Gotta give the user the option to turn off voice control somehow. If that were an option these headphones would be solid but every time they start to fall out and you go to push them back into place the stupid voice control comes on and drives you nuts. If you don’t plan on working out in them and sweating but instead just use them lightly, they’re incredible. The sound quality is amazing for something of it’s size.

I brought these thinking I wasn't gonna have any problems connecting them to my Galaxy Note 8, but when I took the freebuds out of the packaging I noticed that they were dirty and had ear wax on the in-ear speakers, I cleaned them then charged the freebuds for like 3 hours or so... Once the LED emitter was green I downloaded the Hauwei freebuds assistant app to follow the instructions on connecting them via bluetooth, when I did the connection steps my phone only picks up "EW001_BOX" on the bluetooth scan, idk what that is but the Hauwei freebuds does not show up on my phones bluetooth, I feel robbed

Worst Product service ever - under 5 month warrenty.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on December 19, 2018
These were ok for about 5 months, they the right side stopped working. I contacted Huawei who told me to send them away for repair and have recieved a report saying my warrenty has "expired" in 5 months and want almost the cost of the product for a repair. If this is the level of service you get I can only advise people not to ever buy these as they are certainly not worth the cost.

Reviewed in Germany 🇩🇪 on August 22, 2018

Good looking, light weight and easy to use wireless headphones. Obviously extremely similar to a certain Apple product but these actually stay in your ears and sound far better.
Double tap the left bud to answer/end calls or activate Google assistant. Double tap the right bud to pause and resume your music. Simple.
Great purchase and I would happily recommend it to anyone with an Android handset.
It works perfectly with my P20 Pro.

Pretty impressive

These were my first introduction to true wireless headphones. At the time I had a Huawei phone and a Huawei watch so it made sense to get these for the full package. Initially I was a bit dubious as I thought they were going to be a bad rip off of the best selling brand. However, I was really impressed from day one.
The sound quality was better than I expected and they sat snugly in my ears at all times. I was able to run with them, no problems. After a few months of using them I decided that I couldn't go back to wired headphones The difference is huge for me. I was converted.
Battery life was solid as well. I could easily get through a week without charging. That was with about 30 minutes to an hour a day usage time.
I loved these headphones and the only reason I don't have them anymore is because I upgraded to a more expensive set. I would recommend these though for anyone who is interested.

Lots of issues (but sound quality is great)
Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on August 13, 2018
I've had two sets of these now. Both have audio delay on watching videos both locally and online. I.e. the audio isn't in time with the videos. Also having connection problems where the earphones cut out intermittently. I expect that an update will be on the way to fix some of these problems. However the audio quality is brilliant (better than my wired Bose earphones). I get around 4 hours of battery life with the earphones and a second charge and a bit with the case.
