About the Author

A. P. Barratt is a software developer based in Edinburgh Scotland. Born and raised an Evangelical Christian he has since become an atheist but remains interested in religion as shown by his debut novel, Hudud and Escape which follows Yasmin as she struggles to keep her faith in Islam whilst running from home in Pakistan, only to be sold into slavery in Scotland. A. P. Barratt is a self proclaimed 'Professional Geek' and is diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome with both of these characteristics making it into the narrative and characters of Hudud and Escape at times.
