I noticed in the new pack that the diapers were much trimmer. I'd assumed that the absorbent material was re-engineered. Obviously they just removed half of it. I complained to Huggies about the new redesign - my kid now leaks out of these diapers nightly. They were very careful to respond, "Since we have not changed the absorbency of HUGGIES Overnites diapers, it is difficult to explain what you experienced. We hope that you will accept our apology for any inconvenience. Because we take great care to ensure that the quality of HUGGIES Overnites diapers is reliable and consistent, you can be confident that we will share your comments with our product team."

1) Sure, perhaps they didn't change the absorbency, they changed the amount. Hence, the diaper is no longer as absorbent.
2) Apologies don't keep diapers from leaking at night. Maybe Pampers will.

My son is now 2 years old. I have been buying all of his diapers from amazon.com since he was born. This was the first time that I was not satisfied with my purchase. About half of the diapers in the box are in poor manufacturing condition. The Velcro flap is coming off. When you try to put the diaper on, it comes off the rest of the way. Very disappointing with Huggies. This might just be a bad batch of diapers, but I wanted to share.

Luv's changed their formula recently (I do NOT recommend them anymore) and I had to switch to Huggies Little Movers. My 3-year-old is an extremely heavy wetter and she sleeps 12 hours at night. I tried these overnights and they are just okay. They work better if you buy them one size larger than your child's size (I bought one box of Overnights size 5 and one of size 6 when the size 5's leaked). Even with the size 6 Overnights a bit of moisture still leaks through and her clothes are a little damp in the morning.

Here's what I did, since these are expensive. My daughter wears size 5 diapers. I put one on at night PLUS a size 6 over that, so she is wearing 2 diapers. NO leaks and no damp clothes in the morning! In the morning I remove the size 5 and I keep the size 6 diaper on her since it is almost completely dry. It is a cheaper way to do it if you're on a budget, just get the next size up diaper and double up. You can get a box of 112 size 6 Huggies diapers on Amazon for about $35 subscribe & save .... these overnights are about $20 for 44.

Hope this helps someone. I will stop ordering these.

Awful. They do not hold up to the claims. I have had these on my 16mo old four nights in a row (since getting them), and three of those four nights the diaper came apart in front (under the waistband portion) and spilled the gel 'seeds' through out his PJs. That is a mess to clean up, and until I get to him to change his diaper (the next morning, usually), they are cold on his little body (and his PJs are wet). It happened TWICE last night; after 6hours of sleep he was cranky so I went to check on him and he had gel seeds up to his chin. I cleaned him up (including a new OverNite diaper), warmed him up, and put him to bed. This morning my husband found another mess of gel seeds on him. For such expensive diapers this is unacceptable. I have already initiated the return process. I am also going to write directly to Huggies (Kimberly-Clark).

I have a 2 year old, tummy sleeping, heavy wetter boy. These diapers work about 50% of the time which is far better than regular Stay Dry which were leaking every single night. The tabs HAVE to be right up by the top or it leaks. It has to be an absolutely fresh diaper or it leaks. He can't drink any liquids for an hour before bed or it leaks. It's always a nice surprise when I walk in his bedroom to dry sheets.

EDITED: Dropping to 1 star. We have leaks every. single. night. He his soaked up to his underarms. Every morning I am washing his sheets, mattress cover, pajamas and of course, him. Maybe I need to go up in size but he's not that big and he shouldn't need to go to a size 6. I have no ideas on another good overnight diaper, I had been using cloth diapers and they had been working great, no leaks at all, but stopped using when he only needed diapers at nighttime.

Huggies are great! Amazons original Subscribe & Save program (S&S) I signed up with gave a 15% discount plus and addl. 15% for Amazon Moms (AM) for a whopping 30% discount for a 56ct. pkg. size 5. The current S&S only offers a 20% discount (5% std. plus 15% Amazon Mom) for a 52 ct. pkg (vs. original 56 ct pkg.) size 5. The S&S 20% discount is $19.99 ea. which matches both Walmart & Target prices. I've always used these stores as comparisons because $19.99 was the cheapest price I could find PRIOR to signing up with Amazon Mom & S&S. In July 2011 I got the 56 ct. pkg. for just under $14 ea. under the S&S/AM program & in April 2011 got the same pkg. for $17 ea. In this case, Amazon is no longer providing savings above & beyond other major compeditors. The only way to get the $19.99 price is by subscribing to both S&S & Amazon Mom which gets you the same price as the other major compeditors. How is that a stand out deal? The only highlight left for Amazon Moms is that we don't necessarily have to go to the store to get diapers because Amazon ships the S&S for free. But have you ever heard of a Mom that never had to go to the store? It's dissappointing that Amazon Mom no longer stands out as my "go to" option for significant savings.
