Awesome. I've never been this satisfied with a tablet. I don't even know where to start. First off, it's HUGE. The screen protector, I love (never took it off), the stand is very sturdy, and it comes packaged safely. Comes with an extra pen (you have to charge them but the charge lasts FOREVER), and a little smudge guard as a gift (awwe!), there are no buttons on the side of the tablet which are a godsend, and it's just stunning! The size and quality of this tablet more than makes up for the price (as compared to a cintiq 13hd which is super small with a huge useless border and twice the price), the 191 is great too! My friend has it and boyoboy, thats what convinced me to get this one.
Amazing tablet line, I can't boast about it more. The only downsize is it's not portable but- OH! Well! It doesn't need to be! Very quality item here, check out some reviews on youtube if you dont believe me!
Okay so I'm gonna go a little bit more in depth:
I purchased and have been using this product since September 2017.
-Massive size for half the price of competitors (wacom im lookin at you)
-Packaged/shipped very well and safely. My box came in another box, bubble wrapped in another box. It was like the Emperor's New Groove.
-Free gifts- extra pen, pen stand/nibs/etc., smudge guard, etc.
-HUGE, like this thing is gigantic
-Very stable and secure stand, easy to adjust, good locking mechanism, many angles.
-Comes with a screwdriver! For the stand! Also a really sweet thank you note! Awe!
-Comes with a screen protector
NOTE: I have not taken the screen protector off so I can't review the actual screen. I quite prefer the texture of the protector (feels a little like paper) and I refuse to remove it until it is thoroughly destroyed.
-Pens charge. I don't count this as a con because A) there are two of them, and B) they last forever.
-Cords are generic. There are 3 SEPARATE cords (thank god), a usb, a power cord, and an hdmi. Two of those are universal. So like, if cords get damaged the only ones you need to contact the manufacturer about are the pen charge cord and the power cord. You don't have to buy some expensive amalgamation of all 3.
-Works with Clip Studio Paint, Paint Tool Sai, Adobe Premiere and After Effects. (These are the only programs I use, but I think it's safe to assume it works with the entire Adobe Suite.)
-Digital driver (and comes with a traditional CD driver, both Windows and Mac.). My computer doesn't have a disc drive so it being available online was a lifesaver.
-BRIGHTNESS SETTINGS this is a godsend. You have an array of general monitor buttons on the bottom right (underside) corner of the tablet. I work in a poorly lit workspace, and this, this is so nice. They're a little slow to adjust but just having it be an option compared to my regular monitor that doesn't is super nice and an A+ in my book.
-Thin border. There's (as pictured) a thin border between screen and actual edge of the tablet. So you're actually paying for the enormous screen, not a giant tablet with a tiny screen in the middle (coughcintiqcough)
-Not portable. Being a huge tablet, it's kinda heavy. Just keep that in mind. I've been bringing it between college and home every break and it's annoying to pack, but the box it comes in is secure and I've had no problem with performance when I set it up again. It's not impossible(my friend packs her 191 up every other week), but don't expect it to be something you'll want to lug between home and class every day.
-Color problems. Colors don't appear as vibrant or accurate on the tablet as on a regular monitor, but I've heard of this issue with other tablet monitors as well. Not a hard workaround so long as you have a second (actual) monitor set to the right color profile and settings, but a little annoying if you forget to check while working.
-Pen does not have eraser on the backside. That's where it charges. Not a con to me, I usually forget to use it, but seeing as it's a pretty common favorite shortcut I'm listing it as one.
-Resolution: doesn't really bother me, but if you zoom, your image may look pixelated due to the sheer size of this thing. This is an issue with most large tablets though so, not really counting it as a con, more of a statement.
-No shortcut buttons on the sides. Not counting this as a pro or con because I never use shortcut buttons, I just use my keyboard for shortcuts. Some people like them, I'm not one of them, but this tablet doesn't have them.
-I can't find anywhere to purchase replacement screen protectors. This isn't really a con to the tablet itself but it's a thing so it's down here.
-No stroke tilt. I'm putting this here because honestly? I don't use photoshop and almost no program besides photoshop has stroke tilt.
-Pens are kinda light. This is a preference thing like the buttons. I don't mind it, but it's something you get used to.
-Tiny bit of lag between screen and pen. It's hardly noticeable really. Especially if you've used any other tablet besides a Cintiq since it's not uncommon. I actually prefer this tablet to the Cintiq.
Honestly a 10/10. I've tried a Cintiq 13HD and it's so tiny compared to this. The Cintiq was expensive. and...kinda faulty (a lot of the shortcut options refused to set on the tablet shortcut keys, the border is like a third of the tablet itself, the stand kept falling off and apart, it was a mess.)
I've used regular non screen tablets and those I prefer to be small and portable, but obviously you want a tablet monitor to be big. And it is! It makes up for any issues with the price, and after 5 months I've had no problems. Like, at all.
But yeah, I've honestly never used a better tablet! This is very inexpensive compared to Cintiq line, and as I said twice the size.
And if you want a cheaper option, try the 191! My friend has it (it's got like, 8000 pen pressure, not an exaggeration, you can kinda tell going directly from tablet to tablet but it's not a deal breaker for this one.) and it's great! I honestly recommend this whole line.
As long as it continues to work as it has been I don't think I'll ever need another tablet. So yeah. Gets a 10/10 from me. Pretty top of the line tablet monitor as far as I can tell.
