Product has excellent quality. It arrived in time, and was well-packaged. The groats are one of the best I have ordered. I enjoy them sprouted almost every morning. Will definitely use them again for my buckwheat supply.

Well worth the money. I bought 60 lbs of this for food storage.I grew some, to remediate the soil, ate some cooked as a grain and in soup and will sprout some in the winter. Well packed and arrived promptly and fully sealed in containers.

Buckwheat remediates the soil, counteracts effects of radiation to some extent in soil and humans. I scoured the net and this was the best offer for bulk buckwheat which is not that easy to come by.

The groats are supplied in a nitrogen filled "tin can" that is rated to last 5years. The poly lid works well after the can is opened.

The quality of the groats is good. Only a few black groats have to be removed and that is because I make cereal with them instead of the recommended (traditional?) sprouts. Buy them, you will like them. The few blacks grouts are easy to remove.

I like having raw buckwheat for breakfast. First I sprout the buckwheat using the following simple method:
First I put about 1 or two cups of raw buckwheat in a nylon nut bag (or a hemp sprouting bag). They stay in the bag for the whole process. Then I rinse them in water and soak for about 24 hours. After soaking them I rinse them again and hang it up on a kitchen cabinet door knob. 2-3 times a day I rinse them and re-hang. After a couple of days they will sprout. After sprouting I dehydrate them and they are ready to eat.

I have found that other raw sprouts to do not sprout, but these sprouted nicely, showing that they are truly raw.

These groats have worked out very well for sprouting and I have been able to make wonderful buckwheat waffles from the flour created from the ground, sprouted groats. The lid seals well, so there should not be any problems regarding freshness. The quality of the groats is very good- I have not found any "off" groats. Whenever the time comes that I actually get through all five pounds, I would definitely purchase this product again!

We got this grains some time ago, haven't finished it yet but I buy it again - the package is so good and the grains is delicious. I even planted them - they are alive, you can make sweet sprouts just in 24 hours. It can be stored for a long time - so why not to buy it again?

I use hulled buckwheat groats to make a raw cereal and have bought them for many years in local health food stores or specialty shops. Lately, the groats I bought have failed to spout even though they are labeled as raw. I questioned the store personal but all the answer I got was that I needed to used the unhulled and that hulled groats wouldn't sprout. I knew this to be untrue because I have sprouted for many years. I discovered Handy Pantry online and they advertised a sprouting hulled buckwheat so I ordered some and it really does sprout. It also is packed in a handy to use metal container. The only problem is they are expensive and the shipping is high because of the weight of the can. Next time I will order two cans to avoid shipping costs. I don;t know what they have done to buckwheat groats sold in stores but they are definitely not raw even if labeled raw. I would recommend Handy Pantry Sprouting Buckwheat Grouts if you intend to sprout them..

You loose so much of the nutrition buying the dead flour in the store. Home grinding is so healthy and the food taste so much better. This came quickly and the grain is good quality and very clean
