-easy-blowing, great sound.
-does not get squirrely or hard to control in the high register like the Softone brand of mutes.
-intonation is predictable.
-weight/balance and security (it will stay in place) is better than Jo-Ral.
-difficult to put on and take off, especially when quick mute changes are needed.
-rubber foot covering was cracked out of the box. When the rubber dries out or cracks more, the metal feet get exposed and can scratch your bell. Recommend buying some rubber paint and giving the feet an extra coat.
-pain in the butt to use.
For the price, this mute can't be beat. Just hope that you won't need to play too many passages that call for bucket mute, and you'll be happy.
