It fits my Togiak tube well, with plenty of extra strap. I'm sure it will fit very large float tubes.
The product is primarily nylon, with a hard plastic tube ( PVC? ABS plastic? ) wrapped in a nylon fabric, to hold the fish finder. There are a couple of patches of leather on the inside of the strap, to give it a little traction so it doesn't spin on your tube.
I have heard that some people have recently been getting this from Cabela's, but it doesn't fit their fishfinder correctly. The one I bought here at Amazon does fit correctly.
Holds the fish finder great, doesn't come loose, very sturdy, made to last, very light, doesn't get in the way.
Also works good as a rod-holder.
I was a little concerned about the strap not being long enough, because the Humminbird website said it was 36", which would make it problematical with anything over an 11" Tube. However, I took a chance betting the 36" length was a misprint, and luckily the strap ended up being more like 48". The buckle adds about 3" so it should fit any tube up to 16".
I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because of the leather-like anti-slip fabric on the strap. It just isn't very effective. The strap needs to be really cinched down hard to avoid slipping, and at that point it is questionable if the fabric is really the reason it stops slipping easily. The other version of this holder sold by Outcast, Cabela's, etc. uses a neoprene type anti-slip material, which works really well. Unfortunately, that version of the holder isn't flared out enough at the top to hold the FB properly. This unit is much, much better in that regard. I will likely add a similar type material to this strap, and it will be perfect for its intended purpose.
The zipper on the carrying case for the fish finder came off the track and cannot be used on that side of the case. This has never happened to our other carrying case, which is also the same model.

does not fit around a standard pontoon float. I'm sure it works well for those you have figured out how to modify the strap so it works.... Read morePublished 13 months ago by WmCFranck
