"Basically the warrior fast is what you call eating one meal a day. I get up in the morning and I eat nothing. I just get a drink of water and head out the door to work.
When everyone else is eating lunch, I go for a walk. I drink some water, and I go through the afternoon with nothing in my stomach.
Then, when I get home, depending upon how I feel, and what time I get home, I will either drink more water or break my fast."
It's a folksy sharing of her experiences with IF. She doesn't delve into problems that come up with IF and menopause. Women like myself who struggle with inability to sleep when hungry and high cortisol levels will not find the information they need in this book. Hungry Old Lady is a cute title and the writer is likable, but I wish she had not included the word menopause. That word gave me hope. So many IF coaches are young or male and don’t talk about the issues peculiar to menopause. Well, neither does Hungry Old Lady.
