I've found the next Tom Clancy. This is one of those books that reads like a movie. I completed it in two days and was sorry when it was over. The writers don't use chapters in a classic sense. The story switches perspective from the protagonist father and his two sons to the antagonist terrorists. You see the story in quick "scenes". The result is a page-turner of great entertainment. In addition to a thrilling plot, we share the personal stories of the main characters who deal with hidden guilt, sibling rivalry, parenting shortcomings and more. I hope these writers team up for a sequel.

This was a great story of a veteran father with two sons who have lost his wife and the boys mother in an accident. The Dad decides to take them on anElk hunt in Colorado. They encounter a group of men who are attempting to take down an aircraft. This story shows how the young boys are forced to do the unthinkable to save their own lives. Once I started reading I found it very hard to put down. I certainly hope there is a sequel!

A father, worried about his struggling teen boys, decides to take them on an elk hunt. The hunt turns deadly serious when they find more than elk in Colorado. The action is quick paced and father and sons come together admirably as they battle some nasty customers, people as well as the elements.

Very engaging read and really appreciated the author's style. In relation to world events and the jihadist movement within the USA, this is a very believable event that could be occurring right under our noses today.

The action starts and then doesn’t stop. This book was so good I was running late this morning in an effort to finish it. Great coming of age adventure, and I sincerely hope to see these characters in another story.

To begin with, I must confess that I have known Mike McMullen for 47 years and no finer an individual have I ever met. In additon, I have taught writing and literature at the local university for many years. Ifind this piece of literature a plausible, eradite and well written book. The writing is top notch and I just couldn't put it down until I have finished it in one sitting. I just hope that his next published work is short in coming. I highly recommend this book.
