Hunt Me Down is a Novella set in the Gingham Lakes world and part of the Fight For Me series. It was originally published in the Glamour Anthology and was called Red Hot Pursuit. I totally love the name change to Hunt Me Down, it works so well with the story!
We're introduced to Broderick Wolfe who's trying to acquire a property that is close to Lilith Redd's heart. Broderick and Lilith have incredible sexual chemistry from the first moment they meet. Broderick is your typical hot arrogant guy and Lilith, your stubborn and strong female.
I feel for both of these characters straight away! Broderick was everything I love in a 'Bad Boy' and Lilith also known as Lily had all the spunk that I love in my heroines!
What I really loved about Hunt Me Down was even though it was a novella that could be read as a standalone, it was still a complete story. It didn't feel rushed or incomplete. It still had as much tension, emotion and plot as it would have if it had been a full length novel. The development of the relationship between Brody and Lily felt like it moved at a really great pace and the sexual tension was palpable. There were moments where i had to sit down the book and fan the blush off my face!
Even though Hunt me Down can be read as a standalone I would still highly recommend reading Show Me The Way as well! Hunt Me Down is a great addition to the Fight For Me series and I'm so excited to read the rest of this series!
Beneath each of their tough exteriors are two hearts who have unexpectedly found the match they never even saw coming. I fell hard for both of these characters and their dedication to doing things the right way even when it didn't always seem that way.
A must read that has a bit of an introduction to the next Jackson hero, who I know will join a long line of bbfs courtesy of the author.
5 solid stars!
As these two went back and forth via an email exchange unlike any I've seen, I just knew they would be SIZZLING hot when they came face to face...and thank you Ms. Jackson...you delivered in spades!!! The love Lily feels for Addelaine is so beautiful. This woman has been everything to this woman who is smart, sexy, driven and not willing to lay down and let her town be changed by the big bad Wolfe!!
I loved how their snarky and sassy conversations went from business to pleasure in two point five seconds and when everything changes, neither of them will ever be the same. There's so much story in this novella and I ate up every single bit of it!!
A.L. packs a whole lot of story into this novella. Oftentimes short stories lack depth or character build, but that is not the case here. I felt a solid connection to both Lilith and Brody. I loved the way these two meet in person the first time and the subsequent revelations that put a fun twist on the story.
Even though the story has a lighthearted feel, there are plenty of emotions involved and some angst that clutches at the heartstrings. I'm excited for everyone to meet these characters. And I'm excited to continue the Fight for Me Series!!
Hunt Me Down is a modern day sexy version of Little Red Riding Hood and I overall enjoyed it. I will be upfront and say that I did not love Lily’s character much at all, but I think that is more of a me issue than anything. Don’t get me wrong I love a strong female character but I think for such a short novella she came across as more %$#@!@ and stubborn than strong if that makes any sense. Brody was cocky, sexy, funny at times and a total Wolfe, what, Wolfe is his last name. Did I mention Lily’s last name is Redd so now do you get the reference to the fairytale? This one is a fast paced and sexy read for sure, beyond my issue with Lily I really enjoyed this one. A.L. Jackson continues to be an automatic must read author for this book whore!
