I was given this ARC by the author, Erin Bedford, in exchange for my honest review.

This is a wonderful retelling of the storybook classic beauty and the beast with a slight twist.

Isabel, or Bell, is a strong woman who loves her family and went to great lengths to help her father out of a bad situation by going to work for the man he owed. Erin Bedford made Isabel a character in which you fall in love with easily and want only good things to happen for her.

Vincent is the Minnesota Alpha's son who hires Bell after her father got into debt and falls in love with her and is desperate to be with her forever. He also has to remember his responsibilities to the pack which can cause issues with his love.

Jason is Isabel's ex-boyfriend who also loves her and desperately wants her back in his arms. He would do anything to get her back and have her return his love.

But as in all fairytales there is a bit of darkness in this tale. When Isabel gets into trouble, who does she run to and who or what is she running from. You'll have to buy the book to get your answers!

I highly recommend this book. Erin Bedford's writing style draws you in quickly and keeps you reading. I sat down and read this book from beginning to end with no stops. I loved this book and look forward to reading more of this series.

While this is a good start to a new series, I'm hoping for more depth in subsequent books. I get that this is a novella, but there was so much that was left out that it could have been a complete novel. Ms. Bedford's writing is sound, which is a big plus towards making me want to read more stories in the series and a strong point of this book. I did enjoy the twist, of which I won't say much as I don't want to spoil the surprise. Let's just say there might be a little role reversal going on.

I do look forward to trying another book in the series to see if the issues I have with this story are fixed (ie. Needs a backstory, learn more about the characters, and more world development).

Hummm...I have mixed feelings about this one. I wanted to really like it, because it's a different take on what happens after "Happily Ever After" and that got me excited. However, this is a light novella, so it's far too short, and feels like it needed to be a full novel to fully understand the story. I think it would have been a much more enjoyable story if it started at the beginning where Belle and Jason broke up, the stuff with her dad, and how she met Vincent. I'm not sure if there is a prequel story to this that explains it, but that was definitely missed in the story.

The Story takes place -AFTER- Belle and her Beast are together. So, if you are wanting to read this based on the Beauty and the Beast retelling, that's not the main focus here. I liked the start of the story, and wished it showed a bit more on Belle x Vincent, but I know that's not what the author was going for. I really felt that the story needed more of a backstory, and a lot more interaction between Belle / Vincent for me to even understand what was happening with him. That part of the story left a void for me, and I have a lot of unanswered questions because of it.

Overall, I did enjoy the book, and the unanswered questions I have will hopefully, be told in a prequel, sequel, short story of some kind in the future. This is also a nice starter if you are looking to try out Paranormal Romance with more adult themes. (ahem, you know... those hot, steamy moments. ;) )

I think Hunter, is a good gateway into the Fairy Tale Bad Boys series, and even though I had some questions/reservations, the ending did make me really curious. The Pirate/Neverland theme for the next one sounds like it will be rather unique and definitely got my attention.

**I received and Advanced Reader Copy from the author, in exchange for an honest & unbiased review.**

In a small town where supernatural beings lived openly, we meet Isabel and Jaason. She is a accountant and he is ex military/store owner. They are also ex lovers. She is currently dating the son of the werewolf alpha and living in his castle. He is Vincent, casino owner and rich. Jason is constantly trying to get her back but she keep refusing. Things are not as they seem for Isabel and Vincent and when she start to question him, some very nasty events happen. I loved the characters, some mysterious, others humorous. For a short story a lot was packed in it. We are allowed to see how love will cause you to face any danger face on. I loved this arc and volunteered to read and review it. The ending will utterly surprise you.

I really enjoyed the new twist on the old fairy tale. This book starts one way then twists so the good guy and bad guy are not who you think they are. It deals with some serious social issues, namely domestic violence and racism. You think your cheering for one team then you end up flipping allegiances. It's a short, flowing, easy read. Great book.

Retelling the Beauty and the Beast story has been popular recently and I'm always afraid an author won't do a good job at it. You don't have to worry about that in this book: it is an excellent retelling! Isabel and Jason immediately draw you in with their exchanging viewpoints of what's going on. Even if you aren't a fan of multiple POVs, this book does it very well. One chapter is Isabel and the next chapter Jason takes up the reigns and takes over with the next scene. It is done so smoothly, it draws you into the story even more. Well-written, fast action, and great romance, this story holds your interest from the beginning. This is my first glimpse of this author and it won't be the last. Even if this is a short story, it is wonderful and almost feels like a longer one! I highly recommend this book!

Thanks to the author for the advanced reader copy which I voluntarily reviewed. This exact review will be posted on both Amazon and Goodreads.
