Paranormal/shifters/supernatural all of that…is admittedly not my cup of tea when it comes to reading romance, but I do enjoy a challenge and stepping out of my comfort zone when I am presented with a strong heroine and a sexy alpha a**hole who collectively kick vampire ass when they aren’t all up in each others'…
Hunters Hitlist is the story of Scar(let) and the Fox brothers, Max and Ryan. They are the hunters. What do they hunt? Vampires. The vampire society (or whatever they’re called) wants to wipe out the top hunters because duh, they’re killing off their “people”, and guess who the top two hunters are? I’ll give you a hint: One of em’ ain’t a Fox brother. Scar is a shero for the ages. She’s fearless, yet feminine. Strong, but soft. Max and Ryan are like oil and water, but there is no mistaking that at the core of their brotherhood is a deep sense of impenetrable loyalty.
I found this story fast-paced and engrossing from the beginning, and my mind was filled with images of blood-splattering vampire slayings (and feedings) the entire time! Yes, there is some salacious romance intertwined throughout, but the gist of this story is to find the HVIC (Head vampire in charge) and kill him…or be killed. Book 1 is the set-up for the rest of the series to play out. We meet the players and get an understanding of who and what we’re dealing with. The ending knocked the wind out of me because while we think the game has been told, the plot shifts, thickens, and changes the entire dynamic. Stay tuned…

THIS BOOK NEEDED EDITING
OVERALL, I COULD NOT REALLY "SEE" THE CHARACTERS OR FEEL THIS STORY. I THINK THAT I KNOW WHERE THE AUTHOR WAS GOING WITH THIS, I JUST NOT LIKE HOW WE WERE GETTING THERE.
