The Calico Jack inshore spinning rod series is the best rod series on the market for the price. They feature Fuji components and perfectly tapered IM7 graphite blanks, combining extreme sensitivity with the superior backbone to land your trophy. These rods have perfect actions and ultra-responsive tips that are great for working both saltwater lures and live bait.

As far as fishability goes I have no complaints either. They do seem a little stiff for their class. For instance the Medium Light feels stiffer than a Berkley lightning rod in Medium. That's not really a bad thing, just be warned they are stiff. The first set I got were Medium Heavies and they were much stiffer than I expected but still an excellent rod, almost too stiff for what I think of with inshore fishing. I mated the Medium lights to some Sahara 2500s with 12# mono and feel it is as light as I want to use for trout/flounder, but still with enough backbone for the average redfish. The medium heavies I have mated with 4000 Sedonas and they are more of a workhorse Redfish/sheepshead setup.
Just wish they made this rod in baitcasting for the same price.
I did experience some shipment packaging issues from Amazon. The packaging was horrendous on the first delivery. I ordered 2 of these rods and both had broken/bent guides upon delivery. I immediately got on Amazon and submitted a return authorization. And reordered for the exchange. Couldn't have been easier. And the packaging on the 2nd shipment was much more robust. No issues at all with damage.
Yes the shipment packaging may be insufficient to protect the rods at times, but know that going in and be ready to respond accordingly.
