If you do a lot of walking, they don't last forever on their own though:
After 3 months: The button part always falls off first and you have to sew it back down. (Save yourself the trouble and sew it down as soon as you get them!)
After 6 months: Then the leather along the ankle starts to fray and you have to sew that back down too.
After 1 year: The next thing to go is the insole, which you can replace.
After 2 years: Sometimes the toe can come slightly un-glued from the rubber sole but you can use shoe goo to glue it back down.
The thing that finally does them in is if the leather starts to crack in the toe -- but you can avoid this by keeping them polished and clean.
Even with these minor issues, I would say the shoe is very well constructed compared to other ballerina shoes on the market.
One other thing I remember is that initially the toe can be a little tight. This went away for me after a day or two and then they fit comfortably.
Of course, after about a year, they wear out & aren't so comfortable anymore, but that's to be expected.
The other thing I like about these shoes is that they look nice. The black is a shiny leather. I wore them to law school along with jeans, and now I wear them around the office at work in my dressed-up professional attire.
As one of those women that often needs to change into heels for work functions, I didn't want to be one of those women that wears sneakers on the street. These shoes are a much prettier, comfortable alternative.

Fit great and comfortable. Should've bought more than one pair.Published 15 days ago by Brooklyn Girl
They look great but not much cushion or support. I like mine and wear often but choose different shoes when I'm going to be on my feet all day.Published 2 months ago by Just wanting to help
My favorite shoe. I wear these at work and they are so nice and always get compliments. This is my second pair and I'm sure not my last.Published 4 months ago by Niki Johnson

I really love the look and have not given up on these but they give my fairly narrow heal a blister every time.Published 13 months ago by Lila
The shoes look slimmer in the photo. They are actually very roomy which works for me because I have a wide foot. Read morePublished 15 months ago by MzWms
